I guess there will be answers when/if police check his backgound. For example, is he a frequent visitor to Thailand, what did he talk to his girlfriend about, does he have Thai connections, what is his social media history etc. etc.

Seems strange, planned 14 days and then down to only 4 days in BKK. Was he a delivery man that went wrong!?

I share your opinion. I suspect something caused him to decide to leave earlier ... that cause might have caught up with him and purposely turned off the phone so he could not be found. Apologies ... my imagination got the better of me.

if someone goes on holiday and ends up with a gf,  a new family,  partying every night,  getting bang, drinking lots of beer and eating lots of food,  maybe they don't want to be found ....  maybe they want to stay hidden because it's like a wonderful dream to them.

His phone showed him 5 mins from the airport !!! His battery could have been empty, he could have had an accident . I would think that advancing his short ten days stay , either he was out of money, or he didn’t like wherever he was. 

Leaving so quickly after only a few days seems strange. I suppose all hospitals have been checked.  His hotel ?

Lot's of speculation as usual with the bargirl scenario being top of the list.  If he is out there enjoying himself then he will inevitably be drawing down money to do that or if not using his cards.  That should be easy enough to check.

 

Bringing his return to the UK forward and speaking to his girlfriend the day of his flight doesn't sound like someone planning to go AWOL.  Sounds more like he was missing his girlfriend back home, which does raise cause for concern.  Not everyone holidaying in Thailand is led by their D*ck, especially a fit 27 year old old with a girlfriend back in England.

There's been an update on the families Facebook page, and confirmation from what appears to be an immigration officer that he passed through immigration and boarded a Finnair flight.
