The effects Israel's aggressive war against Iran will have on you
I'm sure they will, but even if Israel hits some missile launch sites, as regards nuclear missiles, the Iranians will simply hide their facitilies deep in the mountains going foward and keep them hidden. Iran has thousands of nuclear scientists. This attack on Iran has surely driven home to the Iranians that they need a nuclear weapon now, no matter what. So even if Israel wins this battle initially, in the long run Israel will lose the war. The Israeli army is not strong enough to occupy all of Iran. This initial attack was a little bit like Pearl Harbour for the Japanese, who celebrated and thought they had already won, only to find out later down the line, it was not the case. Israel will be in a similar position, it will just take a little longer. I can see the logic from Israel's perspective, Iran had been the financier of all the enemies of Israel, so it's little wonder that Israel want to take out Iran. However, they do not have the capability to do so in the long run. -

US Passport Renewal Update Information
I think the way the passport processing "and printing" occurs now is the US Embassy receives/reviews your renewal package and if all is well it's "electronically" transmitted to a Passport Center in the US who does some blessing and then it's electronically sent to one of two passport "printing" centers in the lower 48. Once printed it's mailed back to the submitting embassy which in turns remails it to the individual in that Bt100 return envelope. The potential chokepoint in this process is the US passport processing center and printing center back in the US; not your local embassy. -

You can't just shut your eyes and wish yourself into being a different country. TAT seem to think that all they need to do is put up prices, say that they're targeting high quality tourists, and they will magically appear. One of the biggest problems is how they treat foreigners. Rich people, who can afford to go anywhere, won't be spending big bucks to go somewhere where there is any danger of a local (be it civilian or some sort of authority) giving them a load of hassle and getting away with it, and there's a lot of that in the press. Rich people want to know that they're going to be treated very well, if they're going to spend a lot of money. Probably better than the locals. Nobody wants to shell out on an expensive holiday only to be looked down upon and possibly abused or exploited. Sure, "it's their country and they can do what they want" is always true, but they then have to live with the consequences. -
