Huge win for weed with (former) PM Srettha kicked out

Recommended Posts

We don't know that this is the case, and it is pure speculation. We can only guess as to who is behind his ouster and what the reasons were. The chances of them being reformist and progressive are extremely low.

About the best thing anyone on this forum could hope for.

Even before he was PM, he wanted weed illegal again. He's been saying it for a long time.

Should hopefully at least delay it.

Don't start the party too soon.

Even before the last election there was a major push to make rules.

One of the rules that was discussed then and probably still will be is the certification and licensing of establishments to sell.

Also, as has been said, there is a movement in the PTP along with other parties to limit access to pot.

You will see a change, but the amount is unknown. As it stands, PTP is still the major party in the coalition.

Talks will continue Srethia was not the major player in this so it will still be discussed and I think you may see the outgoing cabinet heads try to push it through.

There are more ways to buy weed than bottled water. We don't need that. It's obvious that some regulation is in the industry's long-term best interest. The fat lady hasn't sung until they figure out how to tax the crap out of it 🙄

A dollar a gram tax in Canada. Harsh.

Thats almost double the price of what I pay for a gram of good, outdoor skunk flower grown in Thailand.

Not possible. So much of it goes directly from small farm to end user via messaging apps and courier services. No way for the tax man to get his fat hands in the middle.

Thailand will tax the retail supply chain but there will be a massive black market.

That’s the way it already is. Most of those big, fancy retail shops that are selling at high prices are intentionally losing money and paying taxes. But the majority of the high volume business goes direct from grower to end user. It’s not black market, because it isn’t illegal, but it’s operating like a black market and nobody is paying taxes.

How much of the weed do ya think moves through the black market?  Thailand will tax the retail supply chain but there will be a massive black market.

The bm export market is still pretty big.  I would say at least 10 to 15 percent of everything produced here goes out. Legal or not. With product tion costs as low as they are here it's lucrative still.

Even as a smoker I think that statement is stretching things a bit.

The best thing would be seeing the People Party gain power , regardless of their drug policy.

Forgot that part. Yes not real dollars.

And I'd gladly pay an extra 73 cents per gram to get a product where the actual thc content is measured and accurate.

Where from?  Sharing is caring.

The vendor has been discussed on this forum many times before and many already buy from them. Their LINE ID is: @ca08

Their farm was recently hit by some storms and 90% of their plants got damaged. So they said they will be out of stock on most of their strains for 2 months. They sent out a message about it on August 10th. Following was their message in Thai about the loss of plants, followed by an English translation from Google:

Quote

📢 Announcement!!!

Due to the farm having problems with the greenhouse, it was hit by a storm and was completely damaged!!! 💦
This caused the products to be harvested to be damaged by more than 90%
🥦 Almost all the plants and flower clusters were damaged!!!
Therefore, during this period... the farm's products will be out of stock

We apologize for this 🙏

It is expected that the products will be available to everyone in the market within 2 months.

But when I last spoke with them they still had some of their Triple G strain in stock and it’s really good weed. 20 Baht a gram. Smells a bit skunky and it’s all dry buds (sadly it’s not sticky or full of visible trichomes), but THC seems higher than the other stuff I got from them in the past and it gets you really baked.

It’s obviously an outdoor Sativa grow, but it looks almost identical to the stuff in photos I’ve seen of weed posted on this forum by others and which is being sold for 120-130 Baht a gram price range. So for 20 Baht it’s excellent value for money.
