The media reported that the police intervened and escorted both parties to the police station for questioning and further legal proceedings.

I do not see a single policeman in the video. So when did they intervene and escort both parties to the station? What about the man with the knife? The police need to find him more than dealing with the drunk women. Arrest him for attempted murder using a weapon. He should be their focus now. Any man willing to pull a knife in public to go after foreigners who are defending themselves from locals needs to be locked up.

There seems to be a lot of hate generated by recent news against kuwaitis. As the story reports the Thai woman initiated this conflict by pouring their drinks on the Kuwaiti women.

What is up with all the Kuwaiti tourist stories of late? Racing motobikes, fighting locals etc. Maybe the RTP Immigration Bureau could limit the Kuwaiti visas to 72 hours with 24 hour hold over for proper clearance.

Not lately they've been racing bikes and being a pain in the **** for years

I heard years ago that the level of abuse aimed at Thai women from the Middle East was appalling ( via dating sites ). What's happening now is vile, horrific. It's beyond misogyny, it's extreme and degrading racism.

When Thai netizens discover what's going on the backlash will be severe.

According to a report on Amarin TV, the incident did not involve Thai women on Soi Bangla, but rather four Kuwaiti nationals and three Thai women.

So it involved women who were not women - or were women - or men - or inbetweens (katoeys) ?

The "Kuwaiti" woman (in the short leopard print dress) in the clip did not really look all that Kuwaiti to me. :whistling:
(Keeping in mind that Kuwait is a fundamentalist country much like Iran and Saudi Arabia. Alcohol is illegal for followers of the religion of peace. Foreigners have to get a license to drink. Full Muslim dress for women is common - but not mandatory - though they are expected to cover most of their bodies so no short, tight mini-skirts.)

Well, that has clarified everything! When is a Thai woman not a Thai woman? When is a Kuwaiti woman a not a man?

The woman recording the video sounds like she's either orgasming  or having a stroke.
