Japan Denies Rumours of Ending Visa-Free Entry for Thai Tourists
Picture courtesy: THai Rath Social media erupted with criticism following claims that Japan was set to end its visa-free entry for Thai tourists. The Japanese Embassy in Thailand has since confirmed that these reports are false. On 6 November 2024, reports surfaced about a viral message on social media, suggesting that Japan would revoke its visa-free entry for Thai travellers for up to 15 days. This generated widespread speculation, especially as the end of the year marks a peak travel period. However, after checking with relevant authorities and reviewing popular Japanese tourism pages followed by many Thai citizens, there were no reports confirming such a policy change. The rumours had resurfaced after similar claims circulated earlier this year, alleging that some Thai tourists had overstayed their visas in Japan. Despite this, there was no official announcement to cancel the visa exemption for Thai nationals. In response to the recent surge of misinformation, the Japanese Embassy in Thailand issued a statement to Thai Rath Online, firmly refuting the claims. The embassy clarified that the reports were untrue and had caused widespread misunderstanding. They urged the public to rely on official updates from the embassy’s official social media pages to avoid confusion. The embassy's clarification has reassured Thai tourists, confirming that no changes to the visa policy are imminent. With travel between Thailand and Japan remaining popular, both nations continue to prioritise smooth relations for tourism and business exchanges, reported Thai Rath. -- 2024-11-07 -

Foreigners brawl on Patong Beach sparks criticism of Thai laws
I like a beer from time to time as well, but from my experience i have noticed people get more aggressive from alcohol then they do the so called "Devil's Lettuce". When I'm at home I prefer the Devil's lettuce over a beer, I get better a sleep But that my preference, But if you have you big bottles of Leo that's good for you, but how do you get home Drive or Ride ? If you do one of the 2 then you are endangering others. and again that you choice if its the case. we all like different thing in life, it's our own choices, but for you to assume it was the Devil's Lettuce that caused the 2 tourists to fight in the first place with out any proof was my first reply to you. and i was saying being high dose not cause people to be violent in my opinion, but opinions are like a#%holes we all have one.............. -
