Revisiting History: The Unlikely Campaign to Vilify Winston Churchill

Revisiting History: The Unlikely Campaign to Vilify Winston Churchill
It's not that I want to blame Churchill. I rather like Churchill, a very intelligent, interesting, flawed and morally complex character. However, one can't look at WWII and absolve Churchill of all involvement. He did play a role which was not always sensible or above reproach. Some of his decisions were mistakes in hindsight. -

Its Happening - Law to Tax Overseas Income Now in Progress
This is all 100% correct... The most funny thing about their freaking stupid tax ideas is they will get virtually ZERO farangs to pay any tax .....Farangs will do any thing and every thing to avoid paying......Every last one of them.......Even the sad farang who will be putting a confused emoji face on this post will be looking to pay zero taxes....lol -

EV Owners … Real life experience & help thread
Upgraded from a Ora GoodCat 500 to a Tesla Model 3 AWD. 580 km real range (629 km WTP) from Isaan to Sattahip via Bangkok (450 km, partially motorway), keeping A/C on during two stops. One charging stop would suffice from Sattahip to Chiang Rai. The longer range of the Tesla is convenient but not a necessity at least on weekdays. The Ora GoodCat's range is 400 km at 90 km/h but only 280 km at 120 km/h. The Tesla is more comfortable and has better software, but the Ora is still good value and we will keep it. -

Smart Home automations - anybody using?
Shelly has devices for that. I thought about installing many of them in my breaker box. But then I thought again and now I will only use these mini devices for some power users like my ACs. Shelly PM Mini Gen3 - All products - Shop - Shelly If I wanted to log how much power my induction hobs use, then I would need 40A versions, which, as far as I see, are difficult to get and expensive. What would it help me if I would know how much power I use for those induction hobs? I use them when I need them. And otherwise, they are off. I wouldn't use them more or less if I would know exactly how much power they use. -

Revisiting History: The Unlikely Campaign to Vilify Winston Churchill
You haven't mentioned WW2 or the Japanese at all. All you want to do is blame Churchill. If the Japanese had not invaded Burma, so threatening British India and forcing at least 1/2 million Indians to flee back home, then the strain on food supply would have been far less. -

Thailand's 5-20 Year Visa Now a Bit Cheaper
Agreed, I'm planning on paying myself 2.4m thb and that gives a tax rate of about 22%. I'm OK with that. Would pay myself more and the Thai gov would get more money if it was a flat 17%, but I don't consider paying upwards of 25% tax a deal for what you get here. But if they make this worldwide income thing, then they'll get 0 from me and by just talking about it they've made me consider backup plans that may take me away from paying any tax to them even if it never comes in. -

Smart Home automations - anybody using?
For me that will never happen, because I don't invite those companies into my home. Home Assistant works fine without internet connection. There is no need to be always connected to the cloud.- 1

Do you want President Harris to pardon Trump?
Nice try, no cigar. That wasn't the point you were making as you admitted earlier. Literally, I don't know how I could have been more consistent with those 2 statements.
