Stop it.

You have the choice. If you truly believed the crap you spout you would go to the government hospital. Period.

I have gone there from time to time. It has some services that even the private hospitals do not have.

ALL isn't required to validate the point you were trying to refute.

It's quite difficult to be friends with a leftist nowadays unless you're also a leftist. They're too dogmatic, smug, and deeply emotionally invested in their self-assumed intellectual superiority and high moral virtue. Any suggestion that you may dare (cough) disagree will result in name-calling and cancellation.

I have one leftist friend left, but it's totally necessary that we totally avoid any political topics.

I have friends who vote right or left as well. Difference with my friends is we never call each other leftist or right wingers. A friend is a friend .

Donald Trump’s divisiveness has brought out the worst in both his supporters and his critics, fostering mutual hostility.

Here the concluding passage from the original New York Times opinion piece:

"Whatever our politics, Trump brings out the worst in all of us. He nurtures hate on his side that we mirror.

So let’s take a deep breath, summon F.D.R.’s empathy for the forgotten man, follow Clinton’s advice — and, for the sake of winning elections as well as of civility, remember that the best way to get others to listen to us is to first listen to them."

Well, if nothing else, it's a rarity to find the words "Trump" and "civility" mentioned anywhere close to each other.

But I do agree with the author's primary conclusion:

"Trump brings out the worst in all of us."

That's reason enough that he never should serve as U.S. president again, for the sake of the U.S. and the world.

but you don't.

Up until they were proven true, the same exact words you are posting were used to describe them. But again your social dissonance is strong. Reply or don't either way I am done since you are unable or unwilling to see anything that contradicts your perceived world view as fed to you by the MSM and the Democrats.

Completely illogical.

The existence of unrelated events cannot give any credibility to claims about the existence of other unrelated events.

In particular when the claimed events are ridiculous and debunked.

I'm not sure what you're talking about. I have said I do take advantage of some public services here in Thailand and also some private services. When I go to the public hospital, I pay more as a non-citizen than a Thai pays. It's still cheaper than the private hospitals. And some services are only offered by the public hospital in the area in which I live.

exactly. until you live as you preach you are simply a hypocrite to the extreme.

please note. if you didn't preach as you did i would never say any of these things. i would actually say positive things to what you just wrote.

it is a good way of thinking about life. however that glaring hypocrisy takes it all away.

But does capitalism always succeed? I don't think so. Look at the world today. It's full of super-wealthy and starving poor.

Individuals fail.

Yes! And that's what capitalism is all about - the individual. Socialism is about the society.

I often say the difference between capitalism and socialism is just the first letter in a two-letter word: "me" and "we."

Socialism killed 100m people in 100 years. Bangladesh is socialist yet a very poor country.

So in your own words you choose the best life as an "individual" which makes you a capitalist and not a socialist.

Been said a million times but the best system is capitalism where effort is rewarded with some government intervention - or socialism - where say one business gets too powerful and crushes real competition, or where they are best placed to provide services that can't simply work by capitalist principles  e.g.,  defence, health, etc.

Republicans and Democrats can differ about where the right line is and that's fine. My problem isn't that either side does not have merit to their point of view but that Trump is a silly duffer and shouldn't be part of the debate.

It’s not hate it is the sobering reality that trump has 30% of our population conned and the Republican Party is terrified of their base knowing if they don’t bend the knee(or are to spineless to stand up for democracy)they will lose office.it is what it is as of now trump is the enemy of American democracy .

Remember, these are victims of a con.

It's funny that some people are considering social security as "Socialist". It has been first introduced by Bismark, hardly a Socialist! 😀

Most people don’t understand the meaning of socialism.

Trump-voters are easily brainwashed: A Trump-admirer recently told me that "they send us the criminals..." (Meaning: the South-American rulers deliberately send criminals to the USA.) This is pure nonsense: desperate and poor people and people who want a better life, come to the USA driven by their own motivation.
This guy, however, simply didn't understand/didn't want to hear my explanation.
Trump-admirers accept/believe ANYTHING Trump says, even the BIGGEST lies.

You’re making up your own reality.
