One can smell the whiff of rotten democracy in the air when an air-head blonde pop singer is considered a major influence on the outcome of  a presidential race.

What times we live in.

Blond pop singer yes, airhead no. Airheads don't become millionaires at her age unless they marry one and he dies. IMO.

And this is the number one place in the world. Unbelievable.

Nah, there are no number one places in the world. They are all rotten, IMO. ( Except for Antarctica and no one is carrying guns down there ).

"These effects can be subtle but significant, Collins said. For example, a conservative Swiftie might find those two identities at odds with each other and begin to question their beliefs.

"People may find themselves in cognitive dissonance, where their identity and how they see the world are in conflict with other parts of their identity," he said. "There has to be some sense of reconciliation.""

That professor of marketing sure has a fertile imagination. Which conservative person would sit down and question their beliefs because Taylor Swift endorses Harris? This is ludicrous surely.

Anyway, it's all women, that demographic is lost to Trump anyway.

Expand

Because Swift's music represents a certain sense of goodness to her followers, a sense of decency and good behaviour and being respectful to others, and she is focusing their attention on the fact that Harris is much more consistent with the notion than Trump. I am sure some woman not sure may think again and may influence their partners a bit.. Most importantly it will get them out to vote of course

All in the timing I guess.

Can't say that I read any of that into her pop songs. Standard girl lusts after hunky guy next door sort of thing.

Yes, I do know the lyrics.

The songs are sing a long cheerful pop, but hardly great music.

he criticised both, but you're right it's clear he meant Harris

Pope Francis has strongly criticized both US presidential candidates over what he calls anti-life policies on abortion and migration

no, Trump made a joke of a meme that was circulating, the mainstream media spun it into something it wasnt, as they always do and gullible here lapped it up
