It was good to read that Khun Pla has set up a fund for his education ...    I truly wish him all the best and hope he does very well in whatever profession he chooses later when he graduates.  

You obviously mix in the wrong circles.

45 grammes is about 3 Baht weight current value approximately 65,000 Thai Baht. To be valued at 'hundreds of thousands the amulet must be worth more than the necklace which is quite likely.

1bht gold value is 42500 bht today .

But probably the amulet was worth over 100k also .

he's a good kid and his mother or parents have brought him up well.  

 

keep away form the motorbike gangs with machetes and guns and cannabis. 

 

keep working hard at school and get that 7-11 job application in.
