The Government invited in the Russian Bratva with open arms, and now we're starting to see some of the consequences of that. This is like a gang related fight.

Yes, it is working now. When I wrote the comment, it was not.

In respect to the article from Feb 2023,  which is  1 1/2 years ago, it  refers to one incident in respect to someone complaining about an Azov tshirt. It is understandable, considering the history of the Azov Regiment. Yes, I see the part where it is claimed that some Ukrainians have other complaints. Not very convincing considering the millions of Russians who have  passed through Thailand.

I offer that it has more to do with the type of Russian who populate places like Phuket  and Pattaya rather than the Russians themselves. Thailand is now home to a lot of Russian thugs, and criminal types. They were always like this. In Hua Hin where they are found in great numbers, along with some Ukrainian service evaders there are no issues. No fights. nothing. Perhaps it is because Hua Hin and the region attracts a better class of people.

I'd be paying a visit to nearby competitors.

Hmm, protection money not paid to gang? Loan shark hired muscle?

Did they cheat the foreigners on the bill, as many restaurants in Thailand do with overcharging foreigners and tourists ?

Just for fun, I often take photos of the food from the menu with the prices. Then check the tab. Quite often the total was wrong and of course by overcharging. When challenged, they either say "solly" or invent some excuse that the prices changed but not yet time to print new menu.

This kind of cheaing occured very often in Hua Hin restaurants and once or twice in Bangkok. Check it for yourself unless you like to be conned of course.
