Featured Replies

After the hassle last winter of applying for just a simple SETV (crying for tourists, remember?) - uhhh no thanks.

You must be talking about yourself. That figure you quoted, is barely the minimum wage. MOST Thais earn FAR more than that. The median wage is about 15000 Baht a month and millions earn well in excess of that.

rich coz i can spare 2333 a month - lol.

oh dear......

Good luck to all those folks and sadly any other long term stayers in Thailand as the new proposed Taxation of foreign home country income rolls out.  The process, the level of proof asked for, the paperwork, interpretations of dual tax treaties, exempt and tax exempt income, how tax exempt income in home country becomes taxable in Thailand, how any gain that can be offset by losses in home country are not offset by losses in Thailand's eye, etc.

When in Rome....

I've not problem with corruption if it reduces headaches for me.

I'm starting to believe that there is more "freedom" for everyone with "loopholes" than when govs get more and more unwaverable and strict absolute control.  THAT is corruption at it's worst.
