Switzerland claimed the top spot with a perfect score of 100, followed by Japan in second place and the United States in third.

That says it all. The best country for who, or for what?

Switzerland is great if you're rich and into mountains.

Japan is great if you're Japanese.

The United States are a madhouse, no idea why they're still ranking this high.

In Southeast Asia, Thailand leads in 28th place, outperforming regional neighbors like Malaysia at 38th and Indonesia at 41st. Singapore, however, holds the highest regional rank at 14th.

Is Singapore not in Southeast Asia? If it is, then Thailand does not "lead" in 28th place, it would be 2nd in Southeast Asia, Singapore would "lead".

Did you read the article?

The internet is crammed full of lists and rankings, all of them b/s.

Yet still we look. Obsessed with rank, and of course we live in Thailand which is the obsessed of the obsessed.

These ratings are great comic relief ... :coffee1:

So almost 2/3 of the countries & territories are left out, and all things being equal, all of 191 people in 89 countries were surveyed.

Ask 191 AN members about TH, and it would be on bottom of any list :cheesy:

"based on insights from approximately 17,000 respondents across 89 countries"

Saying that, in my worldly inexperience, these numbers aren't too far off the mark.  ....

because:

The ranking, developed by US News & World Report in partnership with the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

What made you expect them to rate.
