The collision which occurred at approximately 04.00 on October 10, on Sukhaphiban 5 Road near the Theparak Bridge in Bangkok, resulting in the death of two people. The incident involved a black Hyundai van driven by well-known singer Sirisak Nantasen, better known as Tik Shiro, who was at the scene and immediately turned himself in to the police. Tik Shiro is a Thai singer, songwriter, musical producer, and actor, especially popular in the 1990s.

Pol. Lt. Patinya Jirandorn, an officer from Kannayao Police Station, received a report of the crash and, along with emergency volunteers from the Ruamkatanyu Foundation, rushed to the scene. Upon arrival, they found the body of Ms. Thianporn, 28, who had died on the bridge. Nearby, 10 metres below the bridge, the severely injured body of Mr. Jakrapat, 21, was discovered and rushed to Bhumibol Hospital for treatment, but died later. Both victims were siblings riding together on a motorcycle when the crash occurred.

The motorcycle was completely destroyed after being hit by the van, which had damage to its front left bumper and headlight. Tik Shiro, 63, the driver of the van, remained at the scene, awaiting the arrival of the police.

Ms. Jinnipa, 24, the younger sister of the victims, who was also riding on the motorcycle, explained that the three siblings were on the bike when a water bottle she had dropped caused them to stop. Her brother, Jakrapat, pulled the motorcycle over to the side of the bridge while she went to retrieve the bottle. It was at this moment that the van came speeding towards them, crashing into the motorcycle, throwing her sister onto the bridge and causing her brother to fall 10 metres down to the road below.

Following the accident, the parents of the victims arrived at the scene, distraught and in disbelief. Tik Shiro approached them to offer his condolences, admitting responsibility for the crash. He expressed deep remorse and cooperated fully with the police, turning himself in without hesitation.

Overcome with grief, the victims’ mother questioned Tik Shiro, asking why he had been driving so fast, leading to the tragic death of her daughter and the critical injuries of her son. Tik Shiro, visibly shaken, knelt down to apologize at the spot where Ms. Thianporn had been found, expressing his sorrow for the tragedy.

Tik Shiro was taken by the police to undergo an alcohol test as part of the investigation into the incident. The results of the blood tests is expected to take several days.

The investigation into the collision is ongoing.

Ouch! He has both admitted and apologized. That will do it. A little bit of cash, and 100% taken off the case.

A tragic accident, kids stopped in the middle of a dark road. It could have happened to any of us.

Especially if drinking... :whistling:

Was the guy wearing his 'sun glasses' while driving ?

Sunglasses combined with window tint and poor lighting is going to severely impact visibility.

The levels of window-tint we get offered when getting a new car is astonishing - the sales people then think I'm mad for lighter...  as if night time visibility is not an issue, just make sure the car doesn't get hot !!..

Valid point - there is a high number of Motorcycles on the roads without tail lights.

If so, no tail lights, dark tint on car, driving in glasses....

Booze involved ? - unknown until the tests come back, however, as he remained at the scene and didn't flee it could be argued that he had nothing to hide - thus I think its unlikely booze was involved.

Tik obviously didn’t mean it and is remorseful and apologetic.

The haters will hate though, especially because Tik is a successful person.

A sick attempt at satire?

And were the bike's lights on? Even though it was said to be parked on the side of the road, how far over to the left was it? R.I.P.

RIP Jakrapat and Thianaporn

And why was he go so fast…? Because he can , because of the useless Thai police, who let any driver do what they want with minimal consequences…

My fist vehicle I bought in Thailand I had my windscreen tinted with the thought "harder to spot I'm a foreigner, easy tea money". Big mistake, I hated driving at night as several times I came close to hitting/driving into vehicles especially motorbikes with no rear lights and bags blocking the head light. My next vehicle had very little tint on the windscreen.  It was great seeing at night again.

Tinting in Thailand need to take into consideration that driving at night can be a hazard if tinted too dark. Rule of the thumb is to tint front windscreen with minimum tint , medium tint on the front two windows and rear windscreen , and the higher tint on the rear two windows.

Irrelevant.  At the time of the accident there were two on the stationary, parked bike.

Kids?   There were no kids involved in this accident, only two adults.
