Generic Zyprexa/Olapin A in Chiang Mai

Featured Replies

Good morning,

Looking to see if anybody knows of hospitals or clinics that stock the Thai brand of Zyprexa called Olapin A in Chiang Mai. It's my husband's regular medication, but it is expensive at Bangkok Hospital @ 300THB/10mg. We need to find a way to source Olapin A, and hopefully it will be a little cheaper...

Thanks all!

Your best option is the government psych hospital (Suanprung).

There may be an after hours clinic where it is less crowded than during the day.

Whether through after hours "special" clinic or regular public channel, be sure to tell the doctor you prefer Thai generic. Sometimes they assume foreigners want imports.

Get your husband's records form Bangkok Hospital to bring with you, will save time and help ensure consistency of treatment.
