Bacterial infections rise among flood victims

Thailand is facing a growing public health concern as bacterial infections, often called ‘silent killers,’ strike flood victims across the country. Medical experts warn that unsanitary floodwaters increase the risk of diseases like leptospirosis and melioidosis, which have already claimed lives. Authorities are urging residents in flood-affected areas to seek medical help immediately if symptoms like fever or muscle pain appear.
