Trump - just what does he have to do for his supporters to question their allegiance?

I won't have to live with anything - I'm not from or in the US.

Then I wonder why you consider it any of your business why people support Trump

To the OP, have a hot chocolate milk, then cry yourself to sleep. You better get used to it, because you will have to live with it for the next 4 years.

As to answer your question, it seems many see a similitude of themselves in Trump, and that your post not gonna change.

Reality check!!

America has spoken !

To the title ...

... start talking, lying, catering to the special interests groups, like johnson, nixon, ford, bush, clinton, bush, obama & biden did.   Act like he could care less about the voters, and make life harder for everyone, just like the scum did that preceded him.

TL/DR

Just the title says it all for me. Most people have so firmly sucked up the propaganda from both sides that they are unable to think for themselves. While we are not allowed to use the commonly used term for the delusional behavior that those that hate trump are know for, it also applies to those that follow trump without question as well. I support Trump because I believe his policies are far better for the US then the opposite side and since I read and digest world news via media outlets that are not in the US. I convince myself that my knowledge and understanding is better then the left and the right that post here. If DOGE actually accomplishes it's stated goal and cuts government spending, If RFK is able to defeat Big Pharma and actually benefit peoples health, If the Epstein list is released, if if if, I don't really have faith in any of those things happening but I do hope they will and honestly the only reason I supported Trump is for those very reasons, The vitriol of him being a fascist and Hitler incarnate was fearmongering at its worst and it only made me push back at the ridiculousness that was being spewed and continues to be spouted by those people that have bought into the Democrats garbage as they tried to consolidate and hold on to power. Before when they thought they would hold on to the Senate they wanted to get rid of the filibuster, Now they say we need it. They are attacking Sotomeyer in an attempt to get her to resign because they are afraid she will die or become incapacitated in the next 4 years and they want to appoint a judge before Biden goes out of office. There are so many things that the democrats are doing or have done that are unconscionable. An 11 year old is old enough to decide their gender and get started on puberty blockers or can get an abortion in some places without the parents knowing but a 17 year old is too young to consent to sex, buy alcohol or join the military without parental approval. It's my body my choice when I want an abortion but if I don't get a vaccine I can lose my job, not be able to shop for food or work. So while I don't like Trump I still think he is the lessor of 2 evils. The clearest case for me was in the 2016 debate when Clinton accused Trump of cheating on his taxes and he responded with "If you don't like what I did then change the law, but you won't because your friends all benefit from the same laws I did" She was a Senator, married to a President and Biden was a 50 year politican and neither of them ever tried to change the Tax code to close the loopholes that she was complaining that Trump used. The 1 time we had someone recommend a complete overhaul of the tax code was Steven Forbes when he was running he proposed a flat tax for everyone and the screams of how it would only hurt the poor and would not benefit the country killed any chance of it succeeding when in fact it was and is still the best option to ensure everyone pays their fair share. So when you ask what would Trump have to do, The answer at least for me is is he would have to start implementing policy's that mirror Biden, Obama, and Clinton.

I don't know how many went to a Trump rally, but I suspect every one of those that voted for Trump, but don't wear the hat or attend his rallies are exactly the same as yourself. What the woke Trump haters don't understand is that for most they voted for his policies and not because they like him personally.

It's why I support him on here.

Him not being Kamala Harris or Joe Biden is probably enough!

Sounds like a description of myself and many of my close friends.

Wow, talk about being bent out of shape!  I don't attend rallies and the choice of my coat color is my business.

I am fully aware that some people who voted for Trump don't actually like him and I've heard the reasons they give.  Nevertheless, I could not bring myself to vote for a complete mad man like Trump and I have major problems understanding those who could.

When it's a choice between a proven POTUS that Trump is and an incompetent, stupid, flipflopping, woke, sleeping to the top, warmongering woman that millions despise, what other choice was there?

No one cared about your little list when faced with the possibility of her as POTUS. If the Dems were serious about winning they should not have put up an unlikable idiot that couldn't speak without a teleprompter and was afraid of a serious interview for the election.

He's not falling into the same trap as last time and this time he won't have backstabbing, traitors in his cabinet.

Translation: People dedicated to the constitution and rule of law instead of loyalty to one very insane American dictator. Yes, Trump will be without such guardrails. The shallow ignoramuses that argued that Trump 2.0 will be the same as Trump 1.0 will be eating crow and it won't take much time for that either.

Yes, great - departments run and policies installed by people who have no knowledge of either the position they are going to hold or the sector itself. A bunch of Yes Men and Women.

Get over yourself - its quite simple. The majority of US voters have shown quite clearly that care only about the dollar in their pocket - today! Nobody in their right mind would vote for someone who suggests they use bleach to cure Covid.

My 'little list' as you call it - was quite clearly an extremely condensed summary of Trump's lies, calims and falsehoods.  He's even on record as trying to pressure an election official (a Republican) to change at least one 2020 election result.

The 'little list' is actually a very long list and the more you learn, the less any rational thinker understands the election result.

Trump's 'masterstroke', for want of a more fitting description, was that which he came up with during the last few weeks of his campaign - asking people if they were better off 4 years ago or now.

They didn't seem to stop and think about the effects and costs of Covid or the fact that inflation was worldwide. Blaming Biden for inflation is simply ridiculous. The US economy has rebounded from Covid far better than most, inflation is now falling and growth in the US is better than that of many countries. That will begin to filter into the public's pockets soon and Trump will claim its his doing.  That, in much the same way as he inherited a healthy ecomony from Obama and claimed credit for it.

I have friends from the USA - some of whom feel they have to apologise for Trump so I know its not the entire population. So let's not hide under rocks - I'll tell you what I really think - I think that a large proportion - possibly as much as 50% in light of the election results, of the US population are Selfish, increasingly Right Wing Lunatics that care only for today and the dollar in their pocket. They have no cares for the planet or what they will leave behind for their children and grandchildren. They don't seem to care about those who are less well off in their own country (even though its those people who labour for large corporations) as long as they can achieve the great American Dream.

So you think selfish people shouldn't be allowed to vote?

What about stupid people, can they have a vote?

How about the poor?

Good points all.

The one that gets to me is when they say they are gonna work for "hard-working families".

What about lazy people?

I happen to like lazy people, they usually don't do much harm.

Why are you so interested in Trump?

You post a lot about him, but I seem to remember you are not even an American.

Why all the interest?

I'm not trying to mess with you I'm just curious.

A large majority of posters from both sides in USA threads aren't from the USA.
