Disabled Man Sets Himself on Fire Before Jumping Off Bridge: Sing Buri
A disabled man set himself on fire before jumping from a bridge into the Noi River in Sing Buri province, claiming he was following instructions from Lord Shiva. Locals, however, suspect that drug-induced hallucinations may have influenced his actions. At 10:40 on October 12, police from Khaibungrachan Police Station responded to an emergency at the Noi River bridge in Moo 6, Tha Kham Subdistrict, Khaibungrachan District. Upon arrival, they found bystanders in boats attempting to rescue the man, who had jumped into the river but was resisting help. Eventually, rescuers managed to bring him to shore safely. The man, identified as Mr. Chalit (last name withheld), has a prosthetic leg, which detached and floated away during the incident. The Good Samaritan who rescued him retrieved the prosthetic leg as well. Mr. Chalit, who lives in Tha Kham, suffered burn injuries from setting himself on fire before his jump. According to witnesses, Mr. Chalit claimed that his actions were prompted by a command from Lord Shiva, whom he worships. However, locals believe his behaviour was likely influenced by drugs, causing him to become delusional and set himself on fire. Sing Buri rescue workers provided initial medical assistance and transported him to Khaibungrachan Hospital for further treatment. Police are continuing their investigation into the incident and are yet to confirm whether Mr. Chalit was under the influence of drugs, as the results of toxicology tests were not yet available. Dear Folks, On this Sunday, just as on any given Sunday, no matter whether or not one might be at church, on a Sunday, ..... This fool believes.... Not in much. Except, that.... We are livin' on a fault line..... I also believe, this Sunday, that the Doobie Brothers are still missed, and that they are one of the greatest bands of all time. Why they separated, far too soon, is really a mystery. As for me, I associate the Doobie Brothers with Hong Kong, and especially Kowloon. ============= So, anyway, thinking a bit deeper, even than the Doobie Brothers.... Do tell me, please.... Government Official Arrested for Embezzling Over 10 Million Baht
A government official was apprehended on October 12, by the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) after evading capture for allegedly embezzling over 10 million baht in public funds. The suspect, Pranchai, also known as Paripreecha, 36, denied all charges upon arrest. On August 19, 2024, the Sikiu Provincial Court issued an arrest warrant for Pranchai for multiple offenses, including nighttime theft, theft of government property, and unauthorised access to protected computer data. The CIB’s Crime Suppression Division (CSD) tracked him down to a market in Nong Khai Province, where he was arrested. According to investigators, Pranchai, an official responsible for budget disbursement, exploited his position to withdraw large sums of money monthly, sometimes siphoning off a million baht. The thefts occurred over a period from mid-2023 to July 2024, when an internal investigation revealed the disappearance of over 10 million baht. Before fleeing, The investigation revealed that Pranchai had been using more than 10 mule accounts and changing phone numbers weekly to evade detection. He fled to the Mukdahan border and attempted to cross into Laos multiple times using a fake passport. After learning that authorities were closing in, he moved to Nong Khai, preparing for another escape to Laos. A coordinated operation between the CSD and Nong Khai police led to his capture at a local market just as his wife attempted to bring him cash. Although Pranchai denied all allegations and refused to cooperate during initial questioning, he was taken into custody and transferred to Khlong Phai Police Station for further legal proceedings. As an older man ,I have embraced Change We need to become more "woke" and stop using words and using pronouns to describe things ,we need to embrace this so we can all live in harmony I was in a bar last night I had no idea the word "pommy" was offensive in describing a British citizen I heard a younger British who looked like a backpacker type have a go at a Aussie guy about being called a "pommy" Unfortunately the rough tattooed Aussie guy refused to apologise but it's not his fault he needs re-education? Is there any words that are offensive that we need to stop using to embrace the exciting change of cultural and linguistic diversity? Are you a British citizen,who is offended by the word "pommy" ? And we must call people British citizens because they are citizens of that country not necessarily it's "their" country What words do you hate ,I do know a man at my work a few years ago hated being called " mate" The word "boy " can be offensive to some Dear Sir or Madam is now not encountered But please all I'm asking is what words are offensive to you that's all asking -
