A car crash occurred early during the morning of October 14, on Lopburi-Wang Muang Road, resulting in one fatality and three injuries. The crash, involving a car and a refrigerated pickup truck, took place in Soi 7 Sai Tri, within the Pattananikom Police Station area, Moo 3, Chongsarika Subdistrict, Pattananikom District, Lopburi.

Emergency services, including rescue teams from the Khok Tum area and Narai Maharaj Hospital, rushed to the scene after receiving a distress call at 06:10. Upon arrival, they found both vehicles severely damaged. Three people were injured, and one man, the driver of the car, was trapped inside the wreckage and pronounced dead at the scene.

Rescue volunteers from the Ruamkatanyu Foundation’s Lopburi teams worked for 30 minutes using hydraulic cutting tools to extricate the deceased driver from the mangled car. The driver, who had sustained severe head injuries, was found pinned against the car’s console with visible injuries to the face and chest, and both legs crushed.

Investigators from Pattananikom Police Station collected evidence from the scene to determine the cause of the crash. The identities of the injured were confirmed as follows, a male passenger in the car sustained a large open chest wound, a lacerated ear, and chest tightness. He was conscious and transported by Narai Maharaj Hospital’s emergency team.

The male driver of the refrigerated truck suffered chest pain and other minor injuries. He was conscious and taken to Narai Maharaj Hospital by the Khok Tum rescue team, and a male passenger in the truck complained of pain in his left shoulder and back, as well as minor cuts. He, too, was conscious and transported to Narai Maharaj Hospital.

Authorities are continuing their investigation into the cause of the collision.

That's like asking how long is a piece of string... <deleted> knows

Know the road very well, straight two lanes either way, road in good condition for Thailand, as has been said going to fast, looks like over taking both cars in the middle of the road and meet.

Another 3km up the road they are widening the road and are going to put barriers down the middle of the road, that should help.

About 6 years ago I was on that road come across a bad accident 3 cars, one guy looked well dead, something will never change in Thailand, one is RTA 's,
