The superintendent of Bang Kaew Police Station has launched a manhunt for a group of local youths who brutally assaulted a police lieutenant in a Samut Prakan gas station following a minor traffic incident. The officer, who sustained injuries, was attacked after stopping to discuss the collision with a motorbike.

The incident occurred at around 23:30 on November 2, when Bang Kaew Police received reports of a man being attacked within a gas station in Bang Kaew Subdistrict, Bang Phli District. Officers and emergency medical responders from Bang Kaew Municipality rushed to the scene.

Upon arrival, authorities found an abandoned white car with a bloody white T-shirt thrown on the ground nearby. The injured individual, later identified as a police lieutenant from the Crowd Control Division, had already been transported to Bang Phli Hospital for treatment.

According to preliminary investigations, the officer had been driving alone when he accidentally grazed a motorbike ridden by a young local resident. Both parties stopped at the gas station to discuss the accident. However, the motorcyclist allegedly called for backup, summoning nearly ten associates who then assaulted the officer, leaving him injured.

After the attack, the assailants quickly dispersed. In response, Police Colonel Adirek Thongkamkaew, the superintendent of Bang Kaew Police Station, has ordered an urgent investigation to identify and apprehend all involved parties for legal action as swiftly as possible.
