The Brtish chose a constitutional monarchy for their national representative of sovereignty wherein the citizens (aka the electorate) through legislation and constitution decide the privileges and authority of the monarch. (see Magna Carta).

If the monarchy is by law required to pay taxes appropriate to any earnings, the monarchy will pay those taxes.

There have been questions about this family from the moment they

changed their name from Saxe-Coburg-Gotha to Windsor, during WW1, in order to pretend they were not German.

depending on how far back you go so are you....Anglo Saxon. A genetic study done some years ago showed that the genetic make-up of the English had more affiliation with the Germans than with the Welsh or Scottish population.

Do your own homework, the information is freely available.

This is not a court of law!

Many countries in Europe maintain a monarch as head of state: Sweden, Norway, Belgium, Spain, the Netherlands, Denmark, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Andorra and the Vatican State.

What makes the United Kingdom unique is the wealth of its royal family, which dwarfs the wealth of the royal families of other major countries. But the British royals are not the richest royals in Europe, not even by a long shot. Prince Hans-Adam II of Liechtenstein, as the sole beneficiary of the LGT group, is the richest ruler on the continent.

What makes you think that the royal family do not pay any taxes?  The King does, voluntarily, as does the Prince of Wales.  Other members pay tax in the normal way.

Very easily confirmed by a number of sources!    The article did not report that "the royal family do not pay any taxes".

Do you have any supporting data for your claim that "they do not pay any taxes"?

...assuming that they did not make voluntary IT payments that you could not ever know about.

"There is no legal obligation for the King or Prince of Wales to pay tax. Since 1993, however, the Monarch and her or his heir has voluntarily paid income tax on income from the Duchies and earnings from personal investments but not on the Sovereign Grant. Capital gains and inheritance tax are also paid in certain circumstances. Similarly, local taxation is paid on a voluntary basis. This is set out in a non-statutory Memorandum of Understanding between the Treasury and the Royal Household."

You have provided nothing that backs your false claim that "the royal family do not pay any taxes".

...no reliable link from you regarding their not paying any taxes.

If there would be no Royalty in the UK, some other high-place officials will have access to that money.
Nothing will ever change.

It might be worth reading the introduction to the "Political Soapbox Forum" at "Welcome to the Political Forum".

It explains when and where posters should supply links.

I guess by your post that you'd rather have President Starmer, Blair, Truss or May. Imagine the embarrassment of having President Raynor or Lammy. No thanks! I'd rather keep the royals, warts and all.
