A tragic discovery was made on the afternoon of November 5, when the body of an infant was found in a trash bin at a condominium in Bo Win, Si Racha District, Chonburi Province. The discovery was reported to authorities at 14:20 by a waste collector, prompting an investigation by Lieutenant Thatchakorn Naranantha and a team of officers from Bo Win Police Station, alongside members of the Phiao Yiang Tai Foundation.

At the scene, officials found the remains of a male infant, estimated to have been born around 6 months into the mothers pregnancy, in a black trash bag at the condominium’s waste disposal area. The umbilical cord was still attached, and preliminary assessments suggest the infant had been deceased for at about 10 hours.

The waste collector who discovered the infant reported that he was sorting through the trash when he opened the black bag and found the baby’s body, wrapped in blue-and-white cloth. The infant’s head, legs, and feet were partially visible, prompting the worker to call over a colleague to confirm the distressing discovery.

Investigators are now working to gather additional information from CCTV, possible witnesses and other residents. The infant’s body has been sent for autopsy and identification in hopes of tracing those responsible for abandoning the child.

Seems like they are finding a dead thrown away infant every week now. Sick people!

It's the Thai government who are sick.

These young women in a relationship, having sex, all is going well, she and her partner make plans for the future......Sadly, only for the father to abandon her shortly after the birth of her baby.

In the west the government would provide social security and welfare payments (thousands of dollars after the birth), garnish the fathers wages, the woman may be on maternity leave, she has income but sadly in Thailand this poor young woman (girl) has no money to support herself and baby.

If the mother decides to keep her child without income she must leave her child with a guardian, go to work in the city but the minimum wage of around 12000 month is not enough to pay for accommodation, guardian, food, clothing, electricity, etc, now she finds herself working on Soi 6.

Shame on Thailand for not providing for these young mothers

Yeah, it´s also strange, but overall it´s very worrisome that we read about it so often.

You seemed concerned.

Maybe you could share some of your wealth for the many young Thai mothers who have been abandoned by the child's father.

Perhaps think about how these young women (girls) who come from very poor families, how she provide for her newborn without social workers, welfare etc.

I reckon we've all been guilty of telling fibs to our girlfriend.

No, not me, I don't tell lies to girls in order to impregnate them

Yeh, I deleted that comment.

I didn't mean for it to relate to impregnation.

Sadly, the Thai guy would say things like...... once the baby is born I will be with you forever and support her and baby.

If we didn't have welfare payments for unmarried mothers and garnishing of fathers wages in the west you'd see a similar sex industry to Thailand

I do morally agree that single Mothers should receive financial support for the Government , but I do get rather annoyed when I see single Mothers with 4 kids and my tax bill rises

Crikey, I totally agree with you again 👍

In Australia I know generations of families, grandmother, mother, daughter all on the unmarried mothers pension, never worked a day in their lives. All became pregnant at school, school drop-outs.

Note that this wasn't a dead, full-term, new-born baby.  It was estimated to be a developing embryo about 6 months into the pregnancy.  In other words, it was either aborted (sad) or a miscarriage (also sad).

So, if I show feeling and concern about a serious problem, then I have to pay up. Are you serious? That was a really stupid reply.

Yeah, I understand where they are coming from. However, it does not cost anything to give up the baby in designated places for it. You are justifying murder of infants with the excuse that people have difficulties. That´s just sick!

Yeah, but this is Thailand, and here that does not exist. Young people know that, but they lack the possibility to answer for there actions.
