Thailand's Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra shared her congratulations to U.S. President Donald Trump on his recent election victory. In a statement posted online, she expressed optimism about strengthening the long-standing alliance between Thailand and the United States, aiming to enhance regional prosperity in the Indo-Pacific.

 

In her message, Prime Minister Paetongtarn said, “I wish to congratulate President Donald Trump @realDonaldTrump and Senator JD Vance @JDVance for the victory in the U.S. Presidential election. I look forward to working with you to advance Thailand-U.S. long-standing alliance for the benefits of our peoples and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region.”

 

She continued in Thai, reaffirming her commitment to cooperating with the new U.S. administration, saying, “I am ready to work with President Trump and Senator Vance to further strengthen our nations’ enduring partnership for the benefit of our people and for the prosperity of the Indo-Pacific region.”

 

The Thai leader’s comments reflect the importance placed on the diplomatic ties between the two countries, which have been allies for nearly two centuries.

If the statement in the OP is correct, then her lack of diplomatic skills is showing. As of now, and until 6 January 2025, he is not Presient Trump but President-elect Trump. President Biden is still the incumbent of the Oval Office.

But she is only PM because of her father so she did not need to learn diplomatic skills, apart from knowing when to run.

  No, he is President Trump by virtue of the fact that he held the office previously.  Former presidents are still referred to as Mr. President, even after leaving office.

I hope he ships back boat loads. Any in the prison's send them back home as well.

Maybe Thais can be shipped over to US (like they do in Israel) to work in the fields and pick fruit.  Trump doesn't like Mexicans to do this and NO American will do this backbreaking work.  There are slaughterhouse jobs too ...
