Residents of Central Pattaya's Nong Or community are on high alert after a woman impersonating a police officer went door-to-door allegedly collecting donations. This incident on Tuesday, November 5, has raised eyebrows and sparked concerns about potential scams infiltrating local neighbourhoods.

With her suspiciously conspicuous wig and official-looking vest, the woman reportedly drove a grey-brown Toyota with the plate number กค 3083 Nan. Her pretense included soliciting funds for a charity project supposedly linked to the Pattaya Police Station. Despite her collected manner, surveillance cameras captured her visits, and luckily, her ruse soon came to light.

Deputy Police Lieutenant Thongin Panyanam clarified that this was not an authorised activity. He stressed, “The Pattaya Police Station has no policy of sending officers to collect donations from the public.” He warned that the woman is unaffiliated with the police and likely engaged in a scam to extract money from unsuspecting locals.

Authorities urge the community to be cautious and report any similar encounters. They advise refusing donation requests and contacting the police if approached. The Pattaya Police are now investigating, aiming to identify the impersonator and stop any further fraud attempts, seeking to ensure the security and peace of the neighbourhood.

Questionable

No it's true.  But perhaps collection of on site fines occurs and are misconstrued as donations.

I consider all RTP fake, they don't seem to be doing anything of any value day-in and day-out. I guess they just want to wear the uniform and look the part, Hell with actually working for a living.
