Harris did an amazing job in an impossible situation. The reason she was put into that impossible situation sits firmly at the door of Joe Biden.

A Harris is a Harris.

A sow's ear is a sow's ear.

The reason we were saddled with a sow's ear, this year, as you say....

Was due to the hubris of Biden.

These days, Biden could not even be hired as a conductor on the Paoli Local.

Biden needs to be ridden on a rail, OUT of the White House...and...FAST.

You need to GO, Joe Blow....!

Doctor Jill showing up in a MAGA red dress wasn't subtle.

My concern earlier in the cycle is that they'd offer Harris a seat on the Supreme Court in order to get her to step aside and let Big Mike (or Newsom) be the candidate.  I'm glad I was wrong.

On the biggest defining issue of his presidency -- saving American democracy from autocracy and being a bridge to a new generation of pro democracy leadership -- he has FAILED miserably.

Never mind.  Trump and Vance managed this just fine.  :clap2:

It a circular firing squad in the Democrat Party today.  They will continue to lose chunks of their Black/Hispanic base to the GOP

It is the misogyny that is prevalent in minority communities such as the Latinx that made it impossible for us to coronate a new queen of the people.

Biden stayed too long after it was obviuos to every one except his wife his health was not up to the job.

Harris did the best she could but but fell well short of  a threat to Trump.

On the Russo Ukraine war he never helped enough and soon enough for Ukraine to ever have any chance of winning.

False. The US has been the leading nation to quickly lend US technology, weapons and money to Ukraine to counter Russian invasion. Well, except when Trump was POTUS who wanted to trade US javelins necessary to stop Russian tanks for political "dirt" on Biden's bid for POTUS.

Well, having presidential immunity as granted by the USSC, he didn't call in Seal Team Six to resolve Republican "issues." But Biden is POTUS until January 20th, so who knows?

Joe Biden has been a reasonably successful president in many ways. Such as the infrastructure bill and managing an economic recovery without recession or depression when pretty much all economists said avoiding a recession was impossible.

But on the two biggest issues he has failed.

For me, failing to honor his pledge to be a one-term president is the worst. The Dems might have had a chance, if they could have presented a better candidate than Harris, but Biden made that impossible.

It was the Federal Reserve that managed the soft landing. Biden was the one who brought us the inflation surge that was one of the main factors for Trump's triumph.

It's impossible to ignore Biden's weakness in foreign policy, both Gaza and Ukraine.  It's unlikely that he can salvage his legacy in the two months that he has left.

Biden is just a continuation of a string of failed presidencies. Things started to fall apart in the Clinton presidency, but George "Baby" Bush was the first truly failed one. We had a budget surplus until he came along, and Republicans threw out their dedication to fiscal responsibility.

Biden never explicitly promised to be a one term president. That would have been politically idiotic to do. But it's true that he hinted at it.
