Was that an F16 flying over? It's been around since last thursday & today did a few laps of the island fairly low.

I didn't hear it this time Rooo, but I do remember a year or so ago one doing a sonic boom over Koh Phangan. I imagine he thought it great fun to scare the heck out of the locals. :o

Fight 7 Royal Thai Airforce, out of Surat Thani, which is officially a Military Airfield. They're always around, quite surprised you've never seen 'em before. They are fast though and usually in the mornings, so if you're a late sleeper..

Not Rooo, jeez, look at his posting history, half his posts are at the crack of dawn!

We do get them over here from time to time, always fun to run out and see if you can spot it (of course not, its too fast, but hey what else is there to keep us amused besides ThaiVisa?)

Probably Northrop F5s. They are based in Surat . The F16s are based further North up in Khorat and Takhli.

In any case they seemed to be too quiet to be F16s.

Wish they would do a few low runs over the airport, same as they do at Phuket.
