Get a job.  Be responsible.  Don't travel if you can't afford it.

I think we must always show "indignity" to this and "discourse"  ourselves

Thankyou to the guys who posted these 2 new words recently

From his YouTube description:

My name is Scotty Asher, known on the Internet as "Scotty Bear," a nickname given to me by a dear friend. Currently experiencing homelessness in the US from the High cost of rent, I decided to embark on an adventure and purchased a one-way ticket to South East Asia. Now, I'm drifting around the continent, trying to escape my past while making a living freelancing and living as frugally as possible. By day, I'm an internet marketer and artist, sharing my nomad journey and experiences through my YouTube channel. Join me as I navigate the highs and lows of life on the road, chasing dreams, and finding myself in the most unexpected places on earth.

So he's an idealist. Most idealists are in their 20s but he is in his 40s. If people were to give him money, say $2000, would he use it to go back to the US and land back on his feet? No, he would spend it here and make a video about it.

He's just a grifter.

Even with no skills he could go home and get a job.

I work in the airline biz on the ramp. Terrible money but easy, if a little physical.

Somehow all the kids that work for me can afford to live in an apartment, own a car, feed themselves.

I don't believe a single one of them lives in a cardboard box under a freeway overpass in fear for their life!

Maybe he wouldn't be able to afford to live in Manhattan or San Francisco, but there are a thousand more cities where he could work and live a decent life 'if' he wanted to work

Not a drifter?

Are you old enough to remember Kwai Chang Caine from the 70's Kung Fu series?

A wandering monk who got into adventures. He was broke also but always found his way. Maybe this is who he is trying to emulate. A lot of us grew up on this stuff and he would be in that age bracket.

Yes !!!

I'm sick of you people trying to charge me for extra weight on my bag !

If my baggage is 40kg limit ,so what if it's a few kilos over

I had a big argument with a Qantas check in Bangkok last time

I'm flying business class ,I'm a VIP !

You know how many times I have flown Qantas over the years ,I practically paid for the tyres on the aircraft

You have to pay for extra baggage , why did you want it for free ?

Why didn't you make that your bag was the correct weight ?

I don't like to get off topic but as Ginboy mentioned he is a check in counter person for a airline

These people are actors smiling and pretending to be nice

What I ALWAYS do once they have put the tag on the suitcase and placed it on the scales conveyor belt is to stop them and re check the tag myself

Is the destination right I ask before looking at the tag they stapled onto my suitcase handle

They dont like it

Apart from the accusing me of having overweight baggage they seem always forget my fast track pass.to get through immigration

Two times in 3 years they have lost my baggage and I proceeded to tell the person at check in this last month

Do without them soon hopefully with the new E check in

Many businesses are so desperate for workers they will hire anyone with a pulse.  It's quite easy for even the homeless to find work in the US.

I think the challenge is: Can your income, whatever your job (let's say menial work / day labour) cover your living expenses, no matter how basic you're living?

I know back in the 70s-early 2000s, even a basic low paying job would cover one's basic necessities like shelter, food, transport (public) and basic clothing.

That's another reason why there hasn't been any great art (e.g. music) produced since the 1990s: no one in the USA can afford to be an artist anymore.

I had a look at his website.  He obviously has some skills in creating websites, social marketing etc.  But his fees are crazy!!  With competition from low-cost countries (India, Philippines etc), he needs to divide his fees by a factor of 10....

Your new E check in will automatically refuse your overweight bag and since you love to buy 50 baht t shirts maybe you need to buy half a tonne or lose the superiority attitude @ check in often works wonders 😉
