Probably the worst and most exaggerated account

Please read my post, I wrote that without reading yours.

You are absolutely 100% right.

Seems like everyone writes a book when they get out of Thai prison, read a few. Send them to Hell was a good one. Often they are full of exaggerations on how bad it is as well as stories they just make up.

Always they are full of exaggerations on how bad it is as well as stories they just make up!

Most of these people couldn't string a sentence together, never mind write a book, so they have to collaborate with a writer who adds so much garbage that it ends up as a novel, not a factual record.

Do the crime do the time having said that had he been a thai National he wouldn’t have spent so long in that hell hole

What do you base that on?

Not as much as Jonathan’s bum hole was bleeding.

Prison sex can be brutal.

This reminds me of a workmate years ago referring to one of his friends. Who on release from prison, had an anus like half a Blood orange.😦

I've often thought of writing a book about Thailand. I wonder how you would go about it. :coffee1:

Write it, then hawk the result around publishers or literary agents.

"My early confession saved me from death row"

I'm sure the book is filled to the brim with similar fantasies.

British Man Tells Story of Life in Bangkok Prison in New Book

Self inflicted misery, His problem . No sympathy.

Now trying to cash in on his own drama with a book.

He probably did not do market research beforehand. There are dozens of "look at me pity" stories about thai prison. Even few movies. Boring

The man was  not really at risk for execution. In 1993,  217 prisoners were under death sentence in Bang Kwang prison, mostly for murder and drug trafficking, but no prisoners had been executed since 1989.

Yes, he was foolish and thoughtless, but he was a mule. An expendable mule. The people who gave him the drugs to smuggle and who profited from the trade, continued on their merry way.

Definitely. These people are so evil that many times they have a few mules arriving in the same flight, so they tip the customs about one of them so they get very busy, so the others can pass through without being detected.

I seem to recall a book about 20 years from a reformed prisoner. If only I could remember the name of the book.

His story is one of stupidity nothing more.

His "tough times" were all self inflicted.

F him and all who follow in his footsteps.

He would not have written a 'gofundme' book if he had got away with the smuggling.

There for the grace of God go I.

I have bought many books with " ghost writers " very few of us have the ability to write our life story whilst keeping it factual and interesting. So on this point no problem.

Also most of us would agree 20 years of your life from mid thirties is not exactly I for one would never dream of exchange for a chance of 400.000 baht.

I thought 420.000 baht being £10.000 was wrong it was but not the way I expected apparently £ was only 25-26 back then

The confused emoji given for my views on ghost writer 🤔 I'm sure " the art of the deal" was 100% own work.

Or perhaps my views on 20 years of your life is not exactly a walk in the park I won't be buying the book and I assume most here will not either but you never know a market for things I would assume no one would want 😉 like gold basket ball shoes

Did you understand what I meant ?

I was saying that someone is bound to equate this story to Donald Trump, because they compare Donald to every story .

That is the content of my post , I didn't literally mean what was in the content .

It was a reference to the people who cannot stop talking or thinking about Donald

What makes those statistics any more accurate than his?

I have a reputable source. His claim does not. What is the source of the data?

The one that impacted me was "The damage done". I read it twice in 2 weeks about 20 years ago. It was about 3 Aussies also smuggling drugs.

Another one I read was in Dutch about an Amsterdam taxi driver who fell for a client's promise in his cab: " Bring 1 small package to Bangkok, and you are rich." He got caught at the airport in BKK and also spent many years in prison. After several years, he was released due to a royal pardon.
After he returned to Holland, he changed his life in a better way. He started touring Holland to schools and other places, telling and teaching the youth to NOT do stupid things like he did in the past...

The good news about thai prisons is that the thai men have small willy's.  The bad part is you have 40 cell mates.

This is really something to read for those "Wanna-be-though-guys" that think they can come to Thailand and be a criminal!  It rarely ends well!

Well in a roundabout way, you just did!

You seem to be infatuated with the President elect of the USA.
