A brief but alarming incident occurred on the morning of November 12,  at Triam Udom Suksa School in Bangkok’s Pathum Wan District, when an electrical short circuit triggered smoke throughout one of the school’s main buildings. The incident was quickly contained, with no injuries reported.

At approximately 11:00, smoke was spotted emerging from the school’s main electrical control panel on the second floor of the Khunying Khunrang Building. The Banthat Thong Fire and Rescue team responded immediately, arriving on the scene and successfully ventilating the smoke-filled areas within 30 minutes.

Following safety protocols, the school quickly evacuated students and staff. Mr. Surapong, a school security officer, noted that all students were safely led outside the building as the fire department worked to contain the situation.

Officials from Pathum Wan Police Station and fire investigators are examining the control panel and surrounding equipment to determine the exact cause of the short circuit. Initial reports suggest it was a malfunction in the main control panel. Further investigation is ongoing to ensure the safety of the school’s electrical systems moving forward.

No injuries were reported, and classes are expected to resume as usual once the inspection is complete.
