Most uncomfortable, chaotic and disorganized messes I have ever seen. You havent been to Boston, the old Laguardia, Frankfurt and JFK I assume.

babylonbrothers Posted yesterday at 01:47 AM Posted yesterday at 01:47 AM I recently spent time in Shanghai Airport which is beautiful; really light and a stunning design. Surprised not to see it on the list to be honest. 1

I've been to Logan airport many times, though I hate driving there, the airport wasn't all that bad. As far as NYC, I've tried to avoid that cesspool as much as humanly possible, curious enough.... Bangkok reminds me of NYC.

As far as NYC, I've tried to avoid that cesspool as much as humanly possible, curious enough.... Bangkok reminds me of NYC. The difference between Bangkok and NYC: Trains are newer in BKK Roads and Traffic are better in NYC Everything is cheaper in BKK I have been forced by various factors to fly in an out of NYC recently and JFK is horrendous although transport in and out of the airport is easy, and expensive. Here is my airport list for international travel over the past three years. Frankfurt: dingy, under construction, long walks, rude staff, depressing with all the Hijabs and machine gun toting Cops, including a blonde one that was so hot I started staring, and when she asked me in English if she could help me (yeah baby, rip off my clothes and take my virginity) I had to beg off and tell her I was looking at her MP5. JFK: Huge and getting huger, good transport within airport to cut down walks, but its old and dingy and under construction. Swampy: Nice and clean, well organized long walks between gates though DMK: It works. Easy to get around, great transport to Downtown Istanbul: Inflation, long walks, rude staff. Food is good till you get the bill. Seoul: Heaven on Earth Singapore: I've only walked from one Gate to another. I like their security setup (at Gates). Dubai: OK, Ive only walked from gate to gate. I avoid Arab countries if I can, tough to keep my buzz going on the long trip. Shanghai Pudong: Just freaking huge. Dont expect a fast transfer. Paris: Its got French people. Taipei: Horrible food. Siem Reap: Huge Chinese boondoggle in the middle of rice fields, why in an empty airport do I have to walk past 17 empty gates? $80 DMK-SAI, then $25 into town. Yeah, thats the way 1
rumeaug Posted yesterday at 02:30 AM Posted yesterday at 02:30 AM Helmut Jahn. Architect. (Not Thai architecture....). 1

Lets not even get into walking in BKK, which is not even remotely safe, God forbid you are disabled (wheelchair/blind). When it comes to airports, I just want a quick in and out, and as uncomplicated as possible. I also want quick access to good food and quiet sitting areas and clean/abundant bathrooms when waiting for my flight(s).

Kinok Farang Posted yesterday at 03:48 AM Posted yesterday at 03:48 AM Easily the most beautiful on arrival but the saddest place of all on departure. 1
steven100 Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago I've heard airports called alot of strange things in my time .... beautiful wasn't one of them
Cabradelmar Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago Maybe beautiful to see from outside, but waiting 1 hour for checked bags to arrive on the luggage carousel in SAT-1 is a case study in poor utilitarian function (usefulness) to the point of disgrace.
Purdey Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago I think in the context of other airports globally it is better than most.
jdstrange Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago Come on - everyone knows the world's most beautiful airport is Samui.

My mate Brian Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Very beautiful when I'm landing there, not so much when I'm leaving.
Upnotover Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago I think this whole piece is about SAT-1, the AI writer got carried away with itself. SAT-1 is actually very visually appealing, far more so than the main airport. The Nation has a better version of this story.
