Fortunately, much of the globe has not been inflicted by the "Puritan Ethic" and demanding sexual conformity. One of Thailand's great social attractions is "sabzi, sabbi". Personal orientation is left to the individual.

They have Puritan ethics in Muslim Countries?

I was at a cafe yesterday and intentionally sat off to the side to not get involved with anyone. Quite pleasant. I was watching some ladies walk by and enjoying my latte when this gay looking Thai guy sits down nearby and keeps glancing over at me. Kind of annoying!

And yet you survived. Lucky!

Well you could ask the same question about trying to attract mass tourism from the likes of China and India. The more successful Thailand is with attracting those tourists, the less desirable it will be as a destination for "quality tourists".

You're not wrong. The more gay tourists Thailand attracts, the less desirable it will become for a devout Muslim to come here to holiday with his family.

You can't have them all, but that's exactly what Thailand seems to be trying.

I don’t see that Thailands acceptance of gay marriage is “going all in on the gay agenda” but is instead saying “there is no hatred towards gays here”

After high school I worked at the Gap in the Beverly Center in Los Angeles.  I was one of 3 straight men out of 17.  The other 14 gay (and bi) were definitely not all the same.  Some actually hated the “queens” as they felt that their flamboyancy brought a bad name to the gay movement in general.  And no….it wasn’t about being in the closet.  It was about basic decorum.

Most normal people wouldn’t like to hear straight men go on and on about their sexual proclivities and would look negatively at a straight man who would wear a t-shirt that says “l love pu**y” in the same way they would look at a gay man wearing a t-shirt that says “I love c**k”

Decorum.

If the LGBT+++ community can’t call out the “story time” participants and say….”Enough of this nonsense….you don’t represent us!”  Then, I suspect that they are one and the same.  There are extremes on both ends of the spectrum….gay and straight.  I don’t want to associate with either of them.  And the only people who would call me a “phobe” are those that are part of that extreme fringe.

I doubt Thailand would want someone like this thing 👇 reading to their children either as some seem to think is Ok.

What a racist, snobbish comment. There are plenty of Chinese and Indians with more money than you, and a better attitude.

Which part of "mass tourism" did you fail to understand? Do you think rich Chinese and Indians want to holiday alongside their less affluent compatriots? Think again! Nothing to do with race.

The ladies might be annoyed too when you were glancing at them.

Define quality tourist. Quite a few very rich Indian and Chinese visitors.

Hope you don't mean Western sexpats.

If I understand your post correctly ...

That's like when the democrats in the U.S. of A. and elsewhere, called other people racist just because they did not agree with obama, when he was president, when the people that did not like him were not racists!

Deliberately using an incorrect, baseless, prejudicial term should be abhorred.    It appears that a person using the term .........phobia is attempting their own kind of negative denigration in a malicious way.   That or the person using the .......phobia word does not understand what that word means.

If you have prejudices about a group or culture, that is not in itself, a phobia!!

Call it what it is, prejudice.

Whew!!!  I guess a nerve was hit.    Rant over.

"If I understand your post correctly ... "

You don't.

If the MAGA people don't like it, let them stay at home.

So Thailand is only for homosexuals?

As you would clearly enjoy making Thailand your personal homosexual heaven it won’t happen as Thailand is open for all.
