What is Trump really trying to tell us in his latest speech?

Rather, your own, in trying to defend an agenda important to you.

But what would you know? He can't possibly have signed the judgment.

Justice Juan Merchan said he will rule next week on whether a July Supreme Court ruling granting Trump presidential immunity for official acts precludes a jury from finding him guilty after a criminal trial this spring.

With that I'll leave you to hold dear to the common belief that Trump's a convicted felon. Predictably, you're a waste of time.

Once again your reading abilities are seriously drawn into suspicion.  The conviction still stands... the judge is still considering if the SC Immunity ruling has any bearing.  But.... somehow you've conjured up a vision of the future.  Please show us the actual text from CBS's article that even hints that Trump has not been convicted.

On that point, you are correct.

The final steps in the Sate of New York criminal trials are:

1) verdict - exonerated or convicted

2) sentencing - by the judge

3) judgement - final entry of trial's outcome by the judge

4) appeals if any

Trump is currently waiting on #2, and stands convicted.  As such he cannot yet launch an appeal, but he can vote in New York or Florida.
