It was the tourist who had a wasted evening and he will have to compensate the hotel and learn to be more vigilant when choosing a sex partner.

Tourists shoud get a "temporary" girlriend during their stay.

Poor Guy! However, he must be more aware. I good solution would have been to say sorry, but I didn´t know this and this style is not me. Can I pay you half for wasting your time, and we leave it with that.

With this logic, if a taxi takes you to the wrong place you are happy to pay half a fare

He discovered her sex and not her gender.

A distinction that will be lost on most of your audience here.

Point of order thankyou..

We are in Thailand where the western woke term trans is a slur upon Thailand's culture of ladyboys.

Ladyboys are Thailand not transgender.

That’s a scream: those who criticize so-called “wokism” and language policing are now the biggest language police of all. So sorry to offend your sense of propriety, but if I prefer to use the term “transwoman” in some contexts, it’s my right to do so.

In this case the guilable tourist was a victim of deception and the trans carried on the deception and should not be compensated.

Quite so, the tourist should just have asked, if 'he', the ladyboy,  was a man, unless he was so darned beautiful and sexy that his big/litttle head didn't think otherwise?

Also experienced it once when I was single and living on Phuket.
Met a nice apparition, had a beer and then took ‘it' to my apartment.
But ‘it’ felt ‘wetness’ and told ‘it’ couldn't do anything about my desires.
Whether I wanted to take ‘it’ back to Kathu.
Just did it but an experience never to forget.

Yes, I thought so too, but it did go wrong once, you have been warned.

Did you tell her this before or after the rogering?

Good point but most probably in the tourist's world there are only two genders male and female.

I agree. But to be fair, there are those others.

Personally, I have no problem with all of them if they don't try to deceive others or pretend to be something they are not.

I.e. a man who thinks he is a women is a) still a man or b) an operated transgender. He will never be a woman.

If possible, sex partners know what to expect then that is ok - at least IMHO.

That would be perfect. But if someone unfamiliar with the “business” encounters this and becomes upset, emotions dominate over rationality. You have to be careful where you “shop”. If someone is new to Thailand and hasn’t familiarized themselves with the country with information online then these things are more likely. I think he’s pretty aware now

People travel to learn new cultures and have new experiences. Maybe he should have spent the night with her/him.

He might have enjoyed it. Who knows? Maybe he knew he was taking a ladyboy to his hotel and sobered up or lost his yearning for adventure when he got to the room. : )

Partly agree. On the other side, one must be able to control oneself. The only solution today, seems to shouting, screaming and using violence. To many of has entered a barbaric state of mind.

Why do assume that? Do you know me enough for making such accusation? After registering Feb. 2021 with only 45 posts so far, one might think that you are here to add sensible and respectful content.

Since when did this piece of news have anything to do with me? You went too far. Just a piece of advice. Do not do that to someone in what you think is real life. As no one is never really anonymous today, that goes for online posting as well.

No, not at all same. First, he took the "thing" to his hotel. Regarding the taxi, it´s the other way around. Second, The taxi driver wasted your time, but in this scenario the guy is wasting the "things" time.

As you quickly can understand. Not same at all. Next time, please give it a thought before you post a reply.

Um... did you by chance read the article on the thai pride events, they use the trans word... if you know otherwise, please, let us know... we want to know where you get you "knowledge."

Having lived in Thailand 12 years, having taught English to office girls ( yep some were ladyboys ), then having been a FTPA member, I have run into many "working " ladyboys  I have found that MANY "working" ladyboys do NOT advise " clients" of their actual gender, the "client" finds out when getting ready to do "the various deeds".  SOME ladyboys have very very minimal signs of their actual gender - mostly do to advanced surgery.

Some of the  honest "working" ladyboys WILL disclose gender, the ones that don't, do SO by design.

Bei g a wo.bat, I understand your comment,  but can you say why.

Thai pride festival uses the transgender term. Please explain your comment.

The Battle of the Bulge. The key is plausible deniability. For newcomers, try this:

"I was drunk and I didn't know that all three ladies had anacondas!"

Posted

I was having some beers in banter with a few new guys in thailand recently and this sort came up in the discussion under the any advice you can offer topics.

Beer banter consensus seemed to be either accept it and get on with the job at hand or pay them to go away in exchange for a lesson learned and a funny story. Its generally okay to ask here in the same way you might ask if they are expecting compensation which some other cultures are less okay with.

Its that simple, coming to thailand with phobia's and potential aggression when someone different triggers your phobia, your coming to the wrong place.

Yes they should have been up front from the start, perhaps desperation lead them to take that risk, perhaps its the hustle and there is no doubt they are putting themselves at risk in doing so.

Get serious.   A small percentage of people like them for sex, but the majority of humanity do not. But most of us like to look, see, and laugh, but not touch.  Any ladyboy not disclosing that she is carrying is putting herself in danger of causing a commotion.

👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
