Good morning everyone.
I've been reading you for long time and I don't deny that it might be my only post, but I need help/advice. Briefly:
1) I'm overstayed.
2) I can't find my passport.
3) I have a ticket to go home on December 2nd.
If I couldn't find my passport, in my situation, what should I do or what would be the best solution? Thank you

OP. You must have the required funds for fine paid at airport.

It's 500b per day capped at 20k baht.

How long currently is overstay

They will inform the immigration as well? This is my worst fear.

Only my name and surname will be enough as i no have any copies of the passport?

I did a police report some years ago for a lost passport.  As far as I am aware they did not inform immigration.  Probably a good idea to have your passport number on the report, might be handy for your embassy.

On the day of my departure will be 23 days

That's good.  Only a fine and no ban, try not to get arrested in the meantime.

You don't require copies of pp.

The police report is just part of the process.

Required by your embassy to issue emergency travel document.

The police will not inform immigration.

No mention of overstay.

Immigration at airport will take you to desk to pay fine and give overstay stamp.

That part of it is no big deal.

Happens more often than some would think

I would go to the embassy first and see if they will replace it without the police report

He should obtain police report.

That's the normal process.

Immigration will not be required.

Also time is of the essence.

Spain

Google "Spanish embassy" for address etc.

From web

Follow these steps
  1. Step 1: Email the embassy.
  2. Step 2: Wait for a response and file a police report.
  3. Step 3: Go to your appointment.
  4. Step 4: Collect your emergency travel document.

Be aware the Spanish Embassy will most likely not give you a new passport, just an emergency travel document that allows you to return to your home country, no other destination.

Untrue that entirely depends, nowadays they can process the new passports with QR codes etc in them, in around 4-5 working days, for Europeans. You just have to ask for the emergency option which often costs 10-20 euro more. The new passports only exist since a few weeks.

I have never seen them caring about your actual visa as well, they did not check mine when renewing it nor a friend who lost his (german). The german did first get a temporary one but shortly after also a permanent new one.

Guess that in your case a emergency one can be enough, as you are on overstay, your plan of saying i want to leave december 2nd is obivously stupid. You will leave as soon you get the document.

Basically you should just bring the police report and hopefully a scan/copy of your lost passport, that you have on your phone at all times ( .....? ). If your parents are not Spanish by birth it might be more complicated too.

Good point.

Fortunately for OP he mentions ....

" I have a ticket to go home on December 2nd."
