What was the reason that the 15-year old shot up the house? Is a "cat fight" anything like what happened in the above story?
You appear to have the same problem with your argument as other users seem to have. You claim that it's the same back home, but the only examples you give aren't actually the same. This suggests that you want your claim to be true, but cannot substantiate it.
Thailand seems fairly unique in how often these "someone said something that annoyed me so I killed my lifelong best friend/all of my inlaws" type events occur.
"Local residents have expressed hope that authorities will take appropriate measures to resolve the situation and prevent any further disruptions."
I think the time for the authorities to take "appropriate measures" has passed.
If ever there was a situation that had resolved itself this was it.
That's solely down to who you have chosen in the first place....
James Sanford's Garden of Pleasure: proverb is "qui cum canibus concumbunt cum pulicibus surgent"
... He that goeth to bedde wyth Dogges, aryseth with fleas"...
"lay with dogs, wake with fleas"... as brutal as it seems, there are many who chose 'dogs' (in the figurative sense) then question why they wake up 'bitten'..
.... many have chosen their partners very poorly, then moan about it in bars, pubs and forums such as this....
For many the breakdown may be their own fault, or they just chose very poorly in the first place.
Or, they or the partner just changed and evolved beyond recoverable differences.
Then there are so many many successful happy partnerships / marriages... there is no one size fits all salutation... but I would argue that operating within specific criterial lends towards a probability of far less drama, hassle, and less chance of failure.
I had just contacted my Thai attorney and she said - that no need to worry the house in Thai nominee company is "for director's living" and I am the director....
