Yeah right, calling up the military for mass deportations of illegal aliens is not an implement against its own people, it’s against ILLEGAL ALIENS.

Now, pay attention going forward.

Removed some posts that would have been valid criticism, but for some reason the poster had to add personal insults in.

So you think citizens won't be effected by such actions? Of course they will.

Yes sir, you are absolutely correct. US citizens will most certainly be affected in a positive way.
Why bother yourself with hacking in desperation for phantom negativities?

Interesting article by a psychologist reflecting on the psychological morass that his Left-leaning, progressive clients have fallen into regarding the Trump phenomenon. This article does not pass judgement or disparage any of these people.  It's just a psychologists reflections on the real angst of his clients post-election as well as a discussion regarding what the real cause may be.  I forward this article as it describes the same conditions as many of our "liberal" members on this forum who are obviously really hurting and are having issues adapting to this current reality.

Why bother yourself with ad hominem attacks? Do you support free speech or only Trump worship speech?

Not sure what the purpose of this topic is. You need to stop blaming Trump and start blaming his voters for what's about to happen, it's not like he's made any effort to conceal his plans - and they voted him in again anyway.

Democracy is failing not because of the bad things that Trump will do, but because enough people voted for him anyway, for a variety of reasons (not least the painful process of swapping out Joe Biden last-minute).

I understand now.

Democracy is failing because people voted.

We now live in a totalitarian society because the man who won the most electoral votes, swung the most swing states and won the popular vote...........won.

Be afraid.

Be bigly afraid!

This article is very funny and only wishful thinking on the left to try to portray Trump as not having a mandate. Take a look at the map of United States voters who overwhelmingly voted for Trump. The map is a sea of Red for Trump. All three  branches of government are now Republican. The left is dilutional in thinking this is not a mandate.

OOh!  Lemme try!

"Counties don't vote, people vote!"

Too bad the UK has to wait nearly five years to begin it’s own mass deportation of illegal invaders by which time the damage done by it’s current Stalinist/Maoist dictatorship will be too great to repair

Have you gone off the rails? Your reply post in no way correlates with the reply I posted.

Havent you been following the news ?

The current Stalinist/Maoists dictatorship , or the Labour Party as they are more commonly known, have began mass deportations of illegal immigrants .

2600 illegal immigrants were removed in one year under the Conservatives , Labour have removed 10 000 since the election

To deny this is to deny reality

Well if you can say that a transgender is a real woman then denying reality is quite an easy step.

In democracy, majorities can quickly turn into minorities. And we also should keep in mind that midterm elections are right behind the corner.

The American people will surely hold Trump (and the Republicans) accountable and vote accordingly. This is what they promised:

1. End the war in Ukraine before Inauguration Day.

2. IRA repealed and roll back Biden's electric vehicle incentives

3. Mass deportations (an estimated 10-11 milion illegal aliens living in the US) to limit the number of workers competing in the job market

4. 10 to 20% tariffs on all imported goods in a boost to the job market in the USA

5. Cut federal funding to schools that teach "critical race theory" and "transgender" matters

6. Purges of the 'enemies within' (up to some million left-leaning Americans, woke, LGTBQIA+ and DEI activists, deep-state employees, etc., fired, sent to prison or concentration camps, waiting for a final solution)

7. End taxes on tips

8. No taxes on Social Security income

9. "Replace" Obamacare with something bigger and better

10. Expand the child tax credit

11. Reduce the federal public spending by $2 trillion and bring the federal budget back into the black.

12. Reduce inflation.

I wish them good luck, also because luck seems to be the only skill Trump truly possesses.

Here is the proof:

It's impossible not to notice that the maga pro autocracy cult sore winners have been indulging in a nauseating virtual orgy of gloating and are trying to gaslight the masses that Trump has BOTH a mandate in votes AND a mandate for his extremist policies. But that is another Trumpist BIG LIE and don't y'all ever forget it.

To be clear, Trump did win. There is no doubt.

But winning and having a mandate in votes and for extremist policies are NOT the same thing.

So take note.

Pay attention to this going forward.

So for example when Trump calls up the MILITARY against his own people to help with his mass deportations or calls for national guards to cross state lines (from red to blue states in true civil war fashion) be clear, the majority never wanted things to get that extreme.

Take Note, a picture is worth a thousand words:

You post articles that are clearly labeled as opinion and try to pass them off as fact, and then attack any source that doesn't agree with you as unreliable or Trumpist, far right or alt right with no corroborating sources to back up those statements.  You sir  have lost any credibility you might have been able to cloak your self in.

I know I know, Your response will be "Why bother yourself with ad hominem attacks?" as this seems to be the new response of the day seeing that you use it so much.

Noted. Lol Much of what trump wants to do has mainstream support anyway. Just because you don't think it is a mandate it was still wholesale repudiation of the nutty wokesters.

Everybody wants to control immigration better, bolster domestic manufacturing, lower inflation, and end the military conflicts in Ukraine and the middle East. It's a question of how you go about accomplishing these goals, and I can assure you that not everyone supports Trump's approach to solving these problems, so, no, I don't think he has a mandate.

Mass deportations may sound great until you start hearing about families being ripped apart and labor shortages.

Tariffs sound great when you're misled into believing foreign countries and not American consumers will end up paying them resulting in higher inflation.

Ending the war in Ukraine sounds great until you consider Russia's bellicosity and growing threat to Western Europe.

Drill baby drill sounds great until you consider environmental damage and extreme weather events.

Anti-woke-ism and marginalizing fringe communities sounds great until you consider the toll on social cohesion, and the economic cost of not using human capital to its fullest potential.

All of Trump's policies, like the man himself, suffer from the same flaw: short-sightedness. His electoral popularity can in large part be explained by the electorate's willingness to be seduced by his simplistic solutions to complex problems.

The true costs of these policies are just beginning to become apparent in the form of higher inflation (tariffs/labor costs), greater geopolitical instability, greater financial system and monetary instability (deregulation), degradation of the social fabric (more racial/class tensions), greater income and wealth inequality (corporate taxes, oligarchical control of the government) runaway costs of extreme weather events (climate change is a hoax mentality), impaired response to threats from future epidemics, and abdication of America's moral leadership in the world.

Trump's promises have an understandably seductive populist appeal, but as has been pointed out, the devil is in the details. In my opinion, Trump's base is about to find out that there's a lot of devil in the details of Trump's plans. Those who voted against him already had that figured out. The frustration that led to him being re-elected is understandable, but, in my opinion, the American people should have known better.
