At approximately 07:55 on November 26, the Naen Kaew Highway Rescue Association and other local emergency services responded to a crash on Suphan Buri-Kao Hong Road (Bang Pla Ma Old Road) near Moo 9, Tambon Bang Pla Ma, Bang Pla Ma District, Suphan Buri Province.

The incident, reported by Bang Pla Ma Police Station and the Provincial Rescue Coordination Centre, involved a collision between a silver Honda car (license plate from Bangkok) and a white Toyota Revo pickup truck (red license plate from Bangkok, temporary registration).

The Honda was found overturned approximately 15 metres off the road, completely wrecked, while the front of the Toyota Revo sustained severe damage. The collision left one man injured and one woman deceased, both trapped inside the vehicles.

Rescue workers from the Naen Kaew Highway Rescue Association and the Bang Pla Ma Subdistrict Administration Organisation (SAO) Rescue Unit worked to free the victims. The injured male victim was extricated without the use of heavy tools, given first aid, and transported to Bang Pla Ma Hospital for further medical care.

Unfortunately, the female victim trapped in the Honda, identified as Ms. Watcharaporn Puangsomboon, 26, of Moo 5, Tambon Don Chedi, Suphan Buri, was pronounced dead at the scene. Rescue teams used hydraulic cutting tools to remove her body from the vehicle, completing the task within about 20 minutes. Her remains were sent to Bang Pla Ma Hospital for forensic examination.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Pisit Patumsuthi, Deputy Inspector at Bang Pla Ma Police Station, oversaw the investigation and documented the scene of the collision.

Just another day...

I know I keep saying it, but they keep doing it.

It's widely known that a Red Plate unlocks a speed governor on pickup trucks adding at least 40 kph to the top speed. It is incumbent on the vehicle owner to demonstrate the superiority of their new vehicle to other road users.

I assume the injured male was the driver of the redplate Revo and responsible for the death of an innocent victim.

A stark reminder that however carefully you drive you are always at risk from idiots like this.
