Last year Pattaya traffic became grid locked early afternoon so you want to get out of town well before then. I wouldn't be waiting until lunch time to get moving

What a zoo Friday and Sat nights.  Sure seemed even worse than last two years.  Also seemed to me to be lots and lots of bkk folks who drove down , found parking way back on other side of buahkaow, walked to/from beach with their beach chairs, family and kids and all  and then i assume lots of them drove back to bkk or wherever as hotels were full or difficult.

Saw some of the bars near beach road had signs charging 40 baht to use toilet.  As usual little to no public toilet facilities provided except for a few select vips.

Total chaos.  Crowds I guess loved it but not my cup of chai.

We got out of town by 8 am.

Traffic in town was terrible yesterday (Sunday) afternoon. Buakhao and Soi Dianna were gridlocked.

Traffic heading out of town on Klang the same....from 11am onwards as people who stayed over for the Fireworks headed off homewards. Junctions got snarled up as drivers ignored lights and yellow boxes and crossings. No sign of police trying to get things moving... hiding in their AC boxes maybe.

Buakhao seems to be bad each and every day.
