Dear Folks,

As some of you might know by now, bedsheets are overpriced in Thailand.

Therefore, some of us often use them until ..... so unfortunately.... they tear....either due to an uncut toenail....or, even more unfortunately, due to untoward antics in bed.

I have about 5 bedsheets with tears, all saved up.

What is the best way to salvage these sheets, or, at least, put them to a better use.

I hate to discard good cotton.

Also, I do not want to try to use them as "rags" for mopping up spills.

Because, this kind of cloth is just not designed for that.

Additionally, I do not want to save them for Halloween, since we are already too old for that....

Once again I will say that I refuse to discard perfectly good bedsheets....just due to a few tears, here and there.

Any advice will be much appreciated.

Thank you.

Regards,

Gamma

Note:  As for new sheets for sleeping....  I will buy in China, where the quality is good and the price is right.

I buy ONLY 100-percent cotton sheets. (Very high thread-count, too, and I like heavy sheets...not that crappola garbage...)

And, last time I tried to buy a mattress protector in Thailand.....it was an absolute disaster.  Never again will I buy curtains, bedsheets, or anything 100-percent cotton in Thailand....

The price here is OUT OF SIGHT.......

Also, I have tried to just ignore the tears, and be blind to them...

But, no matter how much I try....to close my eyes....the tears just...keep on....

Getting bigger.

If only this were not so.

So sorry, but I forgot to mention the tears....

Of the clown.

That was to be Note4, but I forgot.

Therefore, I must post this short addendum.

Normally, I do not reply to my own Topics.

But, this is a special case, since I forgot....

Also, any chance I get, I LOVE to mention MOTOWN Records, which is one of the greatest labels there ever was, back in the time.

MOTOWN....

Tears of a Clown:

English spelling is strange and confusing.

And, this is what is so very good about English.

Unlikely, but surely he could use some.

Not a problem. My GF ensures my toenails are kept short.

Perhaps the OP should ask his lady friends to give him a trim, before any consummations.

Seems he just did and it was a complete disaster. He ended up tearing up all his bed sheets in a fit of AN withdrawal.

Never happened to me, maybe you should trim the nails once in a while.

This IS my day off.

Thanksgiving Holiday.

One day, only.

FFS Globs, it's thanksgiving day and yet all you can think about is having a gay toga party with your torn up bed sheets. How unpatriotic!

Cloth may be salvaged by folding, and sewing two sides to form a bag about 20 cm X 10 cm.

Fill the bag with uncooked rice, and sew the bag shut.

Place in a microwave with a cup of water, and heat for 2-3 minutes.

One then has a heat bag which can be applied to aching backs and joints for 5 minutes.

Not predisposed to leaking, like the plastic blue gunk-filled bags that are sold in pharmacies.

Who knows, the OP could start a cottage industry in Thailand, if he has enough sexual interludes.

In addition:

If one had a bag like this, with oven-dried rice, it might even serve as a dehumidifier.

Solid advice, lets hope !

What he does not realize is that, in fact, I have always enjoyed gallows humor.

Gallows humor is probably the best.

UNFORTUNATELY....these days...due to changes in this world.... Gallows Humor is now called Black Comedy....WHICH, in itself...is a COMPLETE JOKE!!!!

So...then...what is this world coming to?

Go ask NOAM.....

But, so unfortunately, these days....

He cannot talk.

So then, just read his books, and listen to his lectures.....

Maybe, someday, we will not be able to open our mouths, to speak.

We will only open them to eat...ultra-processed glop....
