Denver's nut job mayor to head the resistance.
Which source is that? I do not purport to be a legal expert, but I am quite capable of reading statutes and making the appropriate reference. What have I stated that is factually incorrect? -

Bad experience teaching in Thailand
This is a little confusing. Are you saying you were made to feel uncomfortable because they didn't want you touching the kids, or because they did want you touching the kids? -

British Man Arrested for Overstay and Insulting Phuket Officials
No. Besides, he can be imprisoned for up to 2 years. We seem to be ignoring the leniency here. Yes, he had a number of sufficient reasons for needing drama. Arrogance, bigotry, superior legal knowledge, disagreement with the law, confidence in his fighting prowess."Stupidity" will summarize them. -

BBC Staff Divided Over Call to Wear Palestinian Flag Colors and Keffiyeh
Are you trying to play game swith the definition of "call'' or "solidarity?" In any case, I wasn't making anything up. If the quote I included had been wrong (and it wasn't), then the journalist who wrote the article would have been the one making things up, not me. If you're convinced the TUC did not call for solidarity with Palestine, you could chide me for falling for and quoting false information, but I didn't make up that information myself by any stretch of the imagination. To get back to the facts: In several pages on its Web site, the TUC explicitly calls for solidarity with Palestine. Due to board rules, I didn't post the entire text of the TUC's Nov. 28 announcement. The first two sentences read (my bold): "The TUC and unions are today (Thursday) uniting to support a workplace day of action to call for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. This initiative is a response to the urgent appeal from Palestinian workers for global solidarity." One of the specific suggestions was: "Wearing red, green, black, or a Palestinian keffiyeh to show solidarity, with photos shared on social media." https://www.tuc.org.uk/news/tuc-and-unions-support-workplace-day-action-immediate-ceasefire-gaza The above sentences are amplified by the rest of the release, especially the previously quoted statement by TUC General Secretary Paul Nowak on "showing solidarity." What sort of mental gymnastics do you have to perform to believe the TUC wasn't calling for solidarity with Palestine? -

Khao San Road Feels Pinch as European Tourists Hold Off on Bookings - video
You have summarised it well. That 'refurbishing' really messed it up, and the fact that there is still no MRT/BTS nearby is a big minus too. I stay in the Victory Monument area, which is not far from KSR, but I really don't feel like going there anymore. Maybe, just maybe, I will go there just once on this trip. -

Thaksin hits the road to boost Pheu Thai’s PAO hopes
"[B]ack in the political spotlight"? Never left it and never will. He has never stopped running the PTP and is the De Facto PM of Thailand. How this is being allowed just goes to show how bent this county is.
