Mr. O'Biden repeatedly pledged not to pardon his son, who was convicted in June of three separate felony charges related to his purchase of a revolver in 2018 when he was battling an addiction to illegal drugs, which he lied about on paperwork to obtain the gun, and pleaded guilty to nine tax evasion charges in a separate case September.

O'Biden  said that “Hunter was treated differently” from people who commit similar crimes.

Correct.   Hunter is free, while a myriad of others that committed the same and lesser crimes are incarcerated presently.

The implications and wording of this pardon are astounding.

It will be interesting to see if it stands with the wording that pardons him for any and all crimes, whether they've been exposed yet or not.

I'd be surprised if that stands up to judicial scrutiny.  Not that I claim any legal expertise, but it just sounds dodgy.  I can't imagine that's what the framers of the Constitution intended.

You apparently didn't read the Hur Report, nor the House Committee records on the Biden Crime Family investigation.  He's got plenty to worry about, right after his protections as the sitting president end.   As a practical matter, there was no way they could impeach him with a Dem majority in the senate.  Once he's a private citizen the gloves can come off.

Keep in mind, the Hur Report just recommended not pressing charges.  That recommendation isn't binding on the next DOJ.  You really ought to read the House reports if you want to know all they have on the Bidens.  Not just Joe.  And now that Hunter can't stand behind the 5th amendment protections, they can haul his butt in and depose him.  But they need to do it after the blanket pardon, so he can't lie and get away with it.

Hur's report stated that there was no prove of willful intent, End of story even for Trump's DOJ. The House Oversight spent considerable time in their investigation and found no evidence of wrongdoing by Joe Biden. The report also didn't had any spefic articles of impeachment. No crime no charge even if the GOP continue to spend tax payers money on a wild goose chase.

We can expect Bondi to come clean with Joes Recorded conversation under oath that his Right hand man( Garland) avoided to make public to the oversite committee.

Joe lied to everyone!

No one is above the law, lie.

He lied about never meeting his sons business partners!

Now he lied about a pardon!

Oversite will need someone other than James Comer to head the committee! He’s not ruthless enough.

I think you meant Trump will pardon himself. Biden has done nothing wrong to incriminate him. Meanwhile felon Trump has a litany of convictions and more pending after he leave office.

But but but Trump. I see you aren't coping well either.

Almost every reply to this by the left has been but but but Trump.

Soon we’ll be hearing “It was Trump's fault”.

Him pardoning his son is not a shocker.

The shocker is what he's pardoned him for - absolutely ANYTHING he's done in the past decade. ANYTHING.

This isn't a pardon for a conviction - or a specific crime - it's all crimes, including stuff Joe knows about but has not yet been uncovered.

This will blow back in a spectactular fashion!

Hunter Biden is the classic addict.  No such thing as a former addict.  Give him time he will be involved in narcoitcs, prostitution or both.  Next time dad will not be in a position to do much and even the friendly SS agent might not be there.

No such thing as a "former addict"

So let me get this right - someone addicted to cocaine, that no longer takes is - is not a "former addict" in your book?
