In a shocking turn of events, Thai police arrested a British national, Mr. Luke, accused of sexually assaulting his 6-year-old Thai stepdaughter. The arrest, which took place in a condominium in Pattaya, Chonburi, followed a warrant issued by the Thai Criminal Court on 2nd December 2024.

Four Thai nationals detained in Myanmar are reportedly safe after their boat allegedly entered Myanmar waters in the Andaman Sea over the weekend. The government reported this information yesterday, December 3, following an incident where Myanmar navy vessels reportedly opened fire on some of the 15 Thai fishing boats that strayed 6 to 7 kilometres into Myanmar waters on November 30.

Gunshots Fired at Wang Tako Subdistrict Office in Nakhon Pathom: No Injuries Reported

A solemn ceremony was held at 08.00 on December 5, at Wat Mai Sritaweep in Ang Thong Subdistrict, Koh Samui, Surat Thani Province, where Mr. Evgenii Beliatsrii, a Russian national, collected the ashes of his daughter, Ms. Kamilla Beliatskaya, a 24-year-old Russian yoga influencer and TikTok star. Ms. Kamilla tragically lost her life after being swept off the rocks by a 3-metre wave while practicing yoga at a viewpoint in Bo Phut on November 29.

A 25 year old man, Chakraphan, fatally shot his uncle-in-law, 34 year old Chakrawat, in a heated altercation during a mealtime gathering. The incident unfolded late last night in front of a construction workers’ dormitory in Ban Mai, Bang Yai, Nonthaburi.

Thai Train Services Resume Amid Lingering Flood Threats

Following a week of disruptions due to heavy flooding, train services have resumed between Bangkok and Hat Yai, as well as between Yala and Su-Ngai Kolok, according to the State Railways of Thailand (SRT). The southeastern region faced significant interruptions, with tracks and signalling systems needing extensive repairs. The service between Hat Yai and Yala remains under repair but is expected to resume soon.
