Authorities have identified the driver of a black car involved in a fuel station theft in Bangkok. The incident, which caused damages worth over 50,000 baht, took place on December 6 at a Bangchak gas station on Hathairat Road in Bangkok’s Khlong Sam Wa district.

According to the police report, filed by Ms. Kanyavee Pudsaviset, a manager at SCG Hathairat Co., the incident occurred at around 13:20 A black Toyota Vios sedan with license plate from Bangkok drove into the station, requesting 500 baht worth of Gasohol 91 fuel. However, as the pump was dispensing fuel, having reached approximately 460 baht, the car abruptly sped off.

In the process, the vehicle forcibly tore away the fuel dispenser hose, leaving the pump severely damaged. The total damages included the cost of the dispenser, valued at 50,000 baht, and the unpaid fuel, bringing the total to 50,500 baht.

Police investigators from Nimit Mai Police Station, led by Pol. Lt. Thitiwat Tangpimai, quickly took up the case. Surveillance footage and witness statements allowed them to identify the car’s registered owner as a 47-year-old male, who is believed to be the perpetrator. Employees present during the incident confirmed that the owner of the car was indeed the individual who fled the scene.

The investigation team is currently tracking down the suspect to press charges for the theft and damages caused.
