Apology not accepted. You can have the guvner no one in canada likes him. Not even his own party.

Not exactly accurate. Trudeau may be unpopular, but so too is Poilievre and his constant negativity.Trudeau only has a 28% approval rating.  Poilievre only manages a 37% approval rating.  The electorate is an angry lot and they will deliver a result similar to what we just saw in the UK. However, instead of a  massive Labour majority it will be Conservative. They people will not be voting for anyone in particular, but they will be voting against the status quo.

Dear Canada I am sorry we produce people as neurotic and annoying as JT.

For a Canadian you sure are quite the fanatic follower of Trump.   You don't seem loyal to your homeland if you are so blindly devoted to Trump that you do not see the harm that the Trump policies will induce.

Trump did make a joke about Canada being a state of the USA .

Are you continuing that joke by posting this thread or are you taking it seriously ?

In the past there was also a funny joke that Putin wanted to restore the Soviet Union.

Yes it is accurate as you have backed up with the 28 approval rating. My comment had nothing to do with pandering Pierre.

Canadians -- I am very very sorry sorry that my lame duck criminal "president" elect is such a crass demagogic troll.

You are not a U.S. state rather you are a sovereign nation and Trudeau like him or not, is your PM, not a governor of a U.S. state.

Sounds like we're living in an episode of South Park.

So you like our beer.

Yes, what is the big fuss about it... ..he just applied vaudeville language to international diplomacy.
He is just a clown at the service of a clownish and braggart America in which education and good manners have long gone missing.

Better get used to it. It’s the new normal. The average Joe in charge of the Nation.

I am very sorry, unfortunately our newly elected leader is a man of spectacular ignorance, and the convicted felon and sexual predator who knows no bounds when it comes to decorum, dignity, diplomacy, or just how to be a decent person.

I used to live in upstate Vermont.  Beautiful of you like freezing your ass off half the year.  LOL.

I have worked on syrup runs.  It's kinda fin at first but gets old.  Yeah, Vermont syrup is great.  didn't know it surpassed Canadian stuff.

It doesn’t! Total crock. As wack as saying Maine Lobster is a different breed than Canadian Lobster

Two funny.....I have both passports.  I am able to live and work either Country legally.

In the last 20-30 years, how many of North America's Canadian citizens relocated to North America's USA to live and work vs the opposite.  I personally know of many.

Trump, the majority elected him.   Im guessing because the Majority doesn't like the current status quo with Domestic and International relationships.

Vermont maple syrup is now better quality. Most of the Canadian maple syrup comes from Quebec and it seems to be watered down. Gone is the density of the old days (like 5 years ago).

No they do not. There are some people yes, but a closer look reveals that they are the people who were unable to emigrate to the USA. Canadians as a whole are rather nationalistic despite their bs that they are polite, humble  etc.

He started up again. It is rather infantile calling the Prime Minister, Governor multiple times and Canada the 51st state.

Trump is  about to have Canada open a big can of whoop. Most Americans are unaware that their energy security relies on Canadian oil and  electricity. No peak time  electricity means that the USA  can and will go dark. The Republican midwest oil refineries are set up to process the thick Canadian crude. If they lose  the access, a lot of Republican voters will be impacted.

https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/doug-ford-ontario-premiers-meet-justin-trudeau-1.7407948

Ontario powered 1.5 million homes in the U.S. in 2023 and is a major exporter of electricity to Michigan, Minnesota and New York.

Upstate New York relies on the Ontario electricity and it is where Stefanik and Homan  are from. Turn off Hydro Quebec's electricity and the east coast of the USA from Maine to Florida goes dark.  Trump can have fun with candles and a flashlight when he goes for a pee at 1 AM.

Your statement is right out of the Liberal party propaganda minister, the CBC. The Canadian consumers relies on US power plants as much as US consumers relie on Canadian energy. The whole distribution system is made such a way it responds to the needs of states and provinces at their peak hours. The loss of energy during transport requires to feed the consumers from the closest power plants.

In the last 10 years some Canadian provinces have been importing more than they exported (due to poor productivity following less rain).

Baie James in Quebec has over capacity and uses the New England market to dump their overcapacity at discount prices. Hydo Québec sells its kilowatt/hour at $0.08 to the New England Clean Energy Connect Agency. But on the other side of the continent BC imports more electricity than it exports because the US northwest has ample energy sources and exports at cheaper price than the production cost in BC.

Around the Great Lakes Canada has only 3 Nuclear Plants (Bruce, Pickering and Darlington) while the US has 23 plants. The producing cost in Canadian plants is much higher than in US plants (less power outages in the US than in Candu plants).

Due to taxes and social benefits  cost at the retail level is 8 percent greater in Canada and 30 percent greater also for industrial consumers.

The lack of industrial output with its poor productivity has exacerbated the rising cost of electricity in Canada (as well as the decreasing demand for EVs).

The Liberal policy about "climate change" and the carbon tax has stopped all the projects of natural gaz power plants of proximity which are the most profitable (no high voltage power lines with loss of energy). The trans-Canada gazoduct project has been shutdown by the liberal government and the eastern provinces have to rely on US side gazoduct pipelines (built partly with Canadian participation).

All these data can be found in the government of Canada statistics website:

www.cer-rec.gc.ca/en/data-analysis/energy-markets

or this excellent study from the Fraser Institute:

Some believe Trump. While others think he is joking. Both sides are right. Politicians often use jokes and leaks to get public opinion statistics before making a decision.
