British Man Arrested for Jewellery Theft from Tourists in Pattaya
Picture courtesy: Daily News A British national finds himself in hot water after being caught on CCTV snatching jewellery from two unsuspecting tourists in Pattaya. The 31-year-old, identified only as Jordan and easily recognised due to his muscular build and distinctive tattoos, was apprehended by local authorities. According to the Pattaya City Police, Jordan was involved in two separate thefts targeting foreign tourists. The first incident took place on the night of December 8th along Soi Buakhao, where an Iranian tourist fell victim to Jordan’s sudden attack. Not long after, he struck again, this time stealing a gold necklace valued at over 200,000 Thai Baht from an Indian tourist near Soi Yen Sabai in the Nong Prue district. Police Lieutenant Colonel Thananon Athipansee, from the Pattaya City Police Station, led the investigative team in collaboration with the Crime Suppression Division and the Immigration Police in Chonburi. Their efforts culminated in Jordan’s arrest on December 13th at his residence in Bang Saray, Sattahip. The incidents were clearly captured on CCTV. Footage revealed Jordan riding a motorcycle with an accomplice, both attempting to obscure their identities with face masks. The Iranian tourist, enjoying a casual evening stroll, was caught off guard when Jordan abruptly jumped off the motorcycle, snatched his necklace, and sped off with his partner waiting on the bike. Similarly, during the second theft, the duo was seen tailing an Indian tourist, Mr. Merlin, and his friend before executing the skilful snatch near Soi Yen Sabai. Once more, the CCTV provided a clear visual record of the crime. Picture courtesy: Daily News Upon his arrest, Jordan declined to make any statement, choosing instead to remain silent. Yet, the police are confident about the strength of their case, with the CCTV footage and clothing evidence supporting the charges against him. He now faces charges of robbery at night with the use of a vehicle, which carry penalties of up to five years in prison, a fine of 100,000 Thai Baht, or both. Authorities are also actively pursuing Jordan’s accomplice, who remains at large. Their investigation continues as they piece together more evidence and possibly prevent any future crimes by this duo, reported Daily News. -- 2024-12-14 -

Ang Thong: Woman Stabbed to Death in Rental Room, Police Close in on Suspect
Picture from responders. A horrific murder has shocked the community in Ang Thong Province, as a 30-year-old woman was found stabbed to death in her rental room with over 20 stab wounds. Her father, who had been unable to contact her, made the gruesome discovery after breaking into the locked room. On December 13, at 12:30 Police Sub-Lieutenant Kratep Chantranapaporn, Deputy Inspector of Muang Ang Thong Police Station, received a report of a fatal stabbing at a single-story row of rooms in Village No. 2, Pa Ngiew Subdistrict, Muang District, Ang Thong Province. Upon receiving the report, he immediately notified Police Colonel Pojanakorn Kanjina, Superintendent of Muang Ang Thong Police Station, and rushed to the scene with investigators, forensic officers, and medical personnel from Ang Thong Hospital. At the scene, inside Room 10, the lifeless body of Ms. Patamaporn 30, was found lying near the bathroom. She had suffered over 20 stab wounds to her neck, face, torso, and arms. A knife approximately 30 centimetres long was discovered in the bathroom sink. Authorities estimate she had been dead for less than two hours. The room showed signs of a violent struggle, with scattered belongings and an overturned fan. Outside the rental unit, police found a Toyota Yaris car with a deflated rear-left tyre. Ms. Patamawadee, the victim's sister, stated that she had been unable to contact her sister for two days. The last conversation they had was on the evening of December 11. After failing to reach her sister, she informed their parents, who went to check on her at the rental room and discovered her body. Mr. Thongchai, 59, the victim's father, recounted that Ms. Patamaporn had been living in the rental room, while her sister-in-law and husband, had been working in Chonburi Province for several days. Ms. Patamaporn had been staying alone for 2-3 days before losing contact. Upon arrival, he found the room locked but spotted his daughter's body through the window. Breaking the lock with a stone, he was devastated to find her stabbed to death. Ms. Patamaporn had been working at an office in Ang Thong's town market. Her two children were living with her parents. A neighbour, Mr. Piak, 60, a nearby auto repairman, revealed that he had heard a man and woman arguing shortly before the police arrived and discovered the murder. Police have identified a suspect, known as Boy Taladpla, who is believed to be a close male acquaintance of the victim. Investigators are actively pursuing the individual and are working to bring him in for questioning as part of the ongoing investigation. -- 2024-12-14 -

Trump named Time’s ‘Person of the Year’ for second time
Yeah I explained this on here awhile ago to some of our legal experts. The judgement is entered by the judge at the time of sentencing. There are a few reasons for this i won't get into because it would be a waste of time. But they love the term convicted felon as dumb as it is. -
