Do you know what your tyres are telling you ?
Not always about tread depth. Road noise and comfort, to say nothing of handling, can all be significantly effected by "hard" tyres, which is what happens in the consustent Thai heat. The tyres become alot harder less flexible but look OK. That's my experience, when I changed mine for new soft flexible rubber the difference was very noticeable, despite the old tyres (6 years) appearing ok. -

Wey-La-Dee is not in Doi Saket, but it is on that side of Chiang Mai. In a small soi behind Thai Watsadu. Link below to their page in the Michelin Guide. Very, very nice food with an emphasis on quality. And careful service, too. I read on this forum that it can get crowded with obnoxious Chinese tourists, but my one experience eating there was pleasant. -

And, in addition to @DrJack54's comments, getting the non-O in the UK is far easier than an additional visit to immigration (unless you enjoy that kind of thing) and eliminates any potential "onward ticket" questions at the airport on departure.
