Should I add oil to the petrol of this Thai chemical sprayer machine?

When I bought the machine in the photo it was hard to understand the salesman with my average thai language skills.

I tried to ask him if I should be adding a small amount of oil to the gasohol 95 fuel that I poured in the top of the machine filling it full.

There were 2 other areas to add oil and the 2 photos show the 2 different types of oil for each area. One has a dipstick valve to check the level of the oil. The other has a small vertical window to see the level of the oil. Irrespective of this, should I be adding oil to the 95 fuel in the same what I do for my Brushcutter and chainsaw?

thanks

Look like a 4 stroke so NO dont add to the fuel. Just add the 4T to the engine oil compartment.

thats what the 4T and 2T signifies, 2 or 4 stroke engines

Thanks for your reply. so add the 4t to that engine. is the 2T correct in the other engine? should I still add that oil from the red bottle in that other area?

thanks

Im sorry I cant answer that part. Only that generally 2T oil is added to the petrol in 2 stroke engines (higher pitched noise and much higher revving)4T is the engine oil to add in the engine oil compartment you pointed to in the picture. (Same as most lawnmowers)

The red bottle contains transmission fluid, it does NOT go in the engine.

The letters OHV on one photo are a giveaway that it's a 4 stroke engine.  2 stroke engines don't have overhead valves.

The other "engine" in the photos is a piston type pump, not an engine.  It may take the (ATF) Auto Transmission Fluid in the red bottle.  Or it may not.  I'm not familiar with that type of pump, and what type of oil it requires.

Don't add the ATF to the engine, and don't add anything to the fuel, even if you had 2 stroke oil.

I would advise to be sure to know what and where the oil goes before running the motor, otherwise you may damage some components. The transmission fluid is probably for lubricating hydraulic components in the machine.

Correct, it isn't 2-stroke oil, it's transmission oil, so the engine must have a separate gearbox, which is in the same picture as the bottle

You put engine oil in the motor it is a 4-stroke engine.

As for the pump that has a crank case, you could put the same oil in that, you should have a handbook with both engine and pump.

As the old saying goes, All else fails, read the handbook.

The 4T oil is for the 4 stroke engine.

If the automatic transmission fluid is for the pump then it is incorrect. Use SAE40 pump oil.

The piston lubrication cups require grease.
