In a distressing case unfolding in Thailand, a 12-year-old girl was saved from serial sexual abuse perpetrated by her own uncle and grandfather in Kanchanaburi province. Be One, a resolute non-profit organisation, orchestrated the rescue after the young victim bravely confided in a friend. The friend’s parents, acting upon the girl's plight, contacted Be One to initiate justice.

Be One President, Wanna "Ton Or" Palamart, immediately delved into the grim details before accompanying the girl to the local police station to file formal charges against her abusers. Shocking revelations surfaced; the abuse had persisted over two years, beginning when the girl lived with her uncle and then continuing under her grandfather’s roof. Following an eventual return to her uncle's house, she found herself tormented once again, fearing for her safety.

In an unsettling twist, the girl's father, aware of the ongoing abuse, discouraged any legal pursuit due to the fear of societal embarrassment. Despite acknowledging the gravity and duration of the offences, he only reported recently learning about the uncle's involvement. This familial reluctance highlights a troubling cultural stigma surrounding such crimes.

Both perpetrators now find themselves in police custody, awaiting charges under Thai law, which prescribes serious penalties for sexual offences involving minors. The girl's bravery and her friend's support underscore the critical need for community vigilance and swift action against such grievous acts.

A father who sticks up for his father and uncle's predator ways isn't a father and shouldn't be allowed to be around his daughter without supervision. This is the lowest of animals that live here, and both perpetrators should be jailed for years to come. Hopefully the girl has other relatives that can care for her.
