I expect you more familiar with Victorian Lead based ones given your age

No lead, but I do remember kalsomine.

Age does have the benefit of experience in recognizing idiots.

Who is controlling the budget bill? Mainly Johnson and Schumer. But I know that you lefties like to think that Biden who is on top of everything and quick as a whip is mastering this wonderful episode in congress.

Trump ran to stay out of jail. His various fines and legal antics have rather exhausted his funds. His assets are leveraged and beyond, he is broke, as is witnessed by his continued grifting even as President elect.

I also rather suspect that he is not really interested in the nitty gritty of governing, preferring the "big ticket" stuff which puts him in the limelight.

Elon has almost unlimited, no,  (effectively unlimited) supplies of money. Trump needs, is impressed by and covets money.

Elon is impressed by his own presence as he roams the corridors of power.

Elon isn't going anywhere.

Yeah.

The Republicans in the House of Representatives were trying to hammer out a temporary spending bill to keep the government funded for a few more months. Instead of providing his input during this process, Trump was tweeting at 3 am about annexing Canada.

His head isn't in the game. It's somewhere else.

In your far left delusional mindset maybe, but in reality things are totally different . Neither Trump, the next POTUS or Musk are going anywhere, whereas the corrupted Democrats hopefully are

Trump ran to dodge prison.

He's turning the USA into a Russia style oligarchy.

Anyone that actually believes Trump cares about the little guy is pathetically delusional.

The delusion is on your part, and that is blatantly obvious by your overly emotional hysterical posts

Who?

Obviously President-Unelect Musk.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess one thing Musk and DOGE will not cut is carbon credits on things like.....oh....electric vehicles. With a $7500 rebate per Tesla sold, the stock price of Tesla clearly benefits from carbon credits. The US/DOGE might even shut down NASA and turn it over to Space-X, and make Space-X the only partner of Space Force.

I'm also going to guess the US once again pulls out of global climate accords, but retains carbon credits on electric vehicles. President Musk will insist, and he will pull the strings of the bloated puppet sitting behind the Resolute Desk.

Gracious me - I am a British conservative - and an interested observer of the current chaotic US political situation. To describe me as "far left delusional", apart from being utterly ludicrous as anyone familiar with my often evinced views on this forum in regard to UK politics, shows remarkable delusion on your own part!

Yea, he loves it so much he tried to overthrow 250 years of democracy, and also put US national security at risk by stealing thousands of highly classified documents and keeping them out in the open in his wedding planning facility,

Wasn't it a garage next to a corvette?......Oh no that was the senile guy you don't like to mention in your rants.

Those with an inability to see reality are fooled by performance art like dry-h#mping the flag at the CPAC conference run by Matt Schlapp, a guy who likes to "grab'em by the cojones", not small kittens like 45/47.

As President Musk shuts down government over the holiday season, Americans on Social Security, a government pension, SNAP or SSDI, or who work for entities a South African immigrant and an Indian immigrant plan to shut down, are going to understand a phrase 45/47 used to use:

"They're killing Christmas"

The Grinch now has a name: Elon.

Elon wasn't working for himself when he stopped that original 1500 page criminal monstrosity. He was working for us... the American people. All 80+ million of us who voted for Trump in order to change what this nation had become.

And as you saw, even Trump + Elon's compromise bill didn't pass. And do you want to know what? Not a single person I know is sad about that. We're thrilled.

So you can go right on believing whatever fairy tales you want about the Grinch who stole Christmas, but the truth is the American people are overjoyed right now at this outcome. This is exactly what *WE*...not Elon...*WE*...want.  We want the government closed until the DC Swamp Creatures infesting it realize that we, the people, are in control again. And that is exactly what is happening.

Has exactly zero to do with Elon. He merely performed a valuable lobbying service for us, and we'll kick him to the curb if he gets out of line.
