China Airlines of Taiwan used to.

USD2000 is almost nothing. China Air used to provide premium brands, and all you could drink.

Easier to just bring a limited amount on board and run out quickly.

When I read the headline, I initially thought it was a group of Hash House Harriers on the flight.  It appears that is not the case.

I have seen personally the behaviour of  Westerners when on holiday in Europe on board planes, so please spare us your condescending remarks of "South Asian" men and alcohol.

Probably what happened was they forgot to go and ask the pilots for some. They've usually got a good few bottles of whiskey in the cockpit.

I think that if they had charged in-flight alcohol prices, there'd be plenty of instances of 3 men sharing 1 gin, and asking for a discount because they brought their own cup.

Great to know that we can rely on Air India to get these direct flights running - makes you wonder why Thai Airways didnt do it? Could it be they are mis managed? Look forward to more stories about the crossing - it could be a regular feature

This is 175 baht (5$) per person, or less than a lady drink.
Not much of " Premium alcoholic beverages " there !
