Deport the idiot and set an example to others

I used to say that....but how about....

............ jail them until one hour after their homeward flight has left.......then rearrest them for an overstay.......let them book another flight.....hold them till that leaves......the process repeats itself ad infinitum.

Was he stopped because he was Farang definitely was he breaking the law definitely. But stop two tier arresting and Stop every idiot that rides a motorbike without a helmet and make the penalty hurt🤔or does this just push up TEA money for the underpaid police force🤷🏼‍♂️very poor enforcement of the law

According to available information, the helmet law in Thailand was enacted nationwide in 1994. This law mandates that all motorcycle drivers and passengers must wear a helmet.

This incident sheds light on the cultural and behavioural challenges faced by Pattaya authorities, emphasising the critical need for tourists to respect local laws.

These idiots should have know that Brits consider parking tickets  as a delicacy. Especially with a sip of gasoline at room temperature.

The legal proceedings will continue as the authorities aim to resolve the issue while educating the tourist on acceptable conduct during his stay in Thailand,

A hefty fine, a ride home and blacklisted for 5 years should educate him.

In the US, you can do what you want with your copy of the ticket.  You have to sign it to indicate it's been received by you, and then you either pay a fine by mail or have a court appearance.  The copy is official, but it is yours to keep.

you need to consider the Thai's deep love an admiration for paperwork though. It's a holy script for them.

Silly Thai laws.... a ticket is an official document.....destroying it will be punished......How low can you go

Deport the “gentleman “ that’s what could be done, he is a loser.

His behavior is African.

His passport is UK?

How odd.

The British should start notice of the black population in the US who have been there for 400 years and yet remain radically different from white Americans and maintained their now distinct culture and dialect. Any white American will have more in common with the English, Canadian, Aussie and the list goes on then a black American.

Point being, what passport you have makes little difference.

Well, it carries the "Garuda", a Royal emblem in Thailand. So if the culprit does not kiss backsides all over the place and deals more than generously with the tip box of the boys in brown, he will look at article 112 which allows 15 years of jail for insulting the monarchy.

Police here have a more than very, very, very arrogant attitude and a short fused non-Thai easily can lose it completely. There is no way to address a dispute about something concerning the police at a higher level hence the boys in brown really behave like if they can do whatever they want.

Stupid is as stupid does. Double the fine. Make him watch hours of Thai game shows and lakorns (in Thai) and he'll be on his knees begging for mercy and promising to behave perfectly.

Thai authorities have to teach him a lesson in respect, obey the law!

Its apparent he lacks respect and lacks empathy for others.

Correct. Dismissive behavior in front of police even when he is in violation of traffic rules. Thailand can do better with deportation of such visitors. Don’t need them, don’t desire them too.

Thais are riding around with no helmets and young children on bikes oblivious to the law, 95% dont wear helmets (guess)

However a falung friend got pulled the other day, and had to pay up 900BHAT on the spot , the police wanted 1000, 900 was all he had.

They excepted this and said otherwise you have to come to Police station and pay 2000Bhat.

Meanwhile Thais ignore the helmet rules and police are now picking on tourists and expats, as Thais probably dont have that sort of money, I was not aware they raised the fine from150 to 2000 Bhat, it seems only to exploit those they think have money, very sick corruption nothing to be proud off shame on the Police.

That's utter BS.

He should've taken the ticket and gone to the police station. There's a standard fine. Sounds like a provincial cop drafted in for the Xmas/New Year peak who's on the take.

Better still, he should've just worn a lid, the dumbarse!

a nutcase tourist,   send him to Nigeria .....  he'd fit in well there.

Well i would guess his great great grandparents did not come to UK or US or Caribbean on vacation.....

more than 3.5 million slaves were shipped from Nigeria to North and South America and the Caribbean colonies.
